Hello Elektronauts, I’ve just received my Syntakt back from repair and I’ve noticed that the Audio Tracks 1, 4 and 7 are double triggering (Note On and Note Off). Any idea why is so? Thanks in advance.

No USB or MIDI cables are connected to the ST.
clean new and empty project? sounds like its triggering a second note an octave higher/lower

I think that with digitakt 2 the double triggering issue turned out to be something they fixed in a firmware update so it’s going to be hard to determine the exact cause of the problem.
Is it double triggering only when you trigger the track with a trig? Or does it double trigger on the sequencer as well?
I’d check the firmware version and run the error test and keys test. If it acts like it’s double pressing those trig keys during the keys test then it might be a physical issue. If it acts normal during the keys test then more likely software.
I see more than a few reports of this same general behavior so maybe it’s best to contact support again and tell them what you’ve observed, they are probably already aware of why, although I can’t imagine why they didn’t test the device before returning it to you.

The ST wouldn’t recall the newly saved Project on start up, I had to load them from the menu each time. The repair shop told me they’ve changed a super capacitor.

I’ve already contacted Elektron Support as it was the first time I’ve encountered this double trig issue.
Seems like elektron repair introduced a new issue while fixing. Reports of the double triggering issues with ST go back quite far though.

It seems that power cycling a third time solved the issue. 
I have had this happening to me several times but it has always been the results of some midi loops or similar but not sure exactly. Used to get it when I had my Metropolix Solo connected.
