Please recommend a portable compact speaker with an AUX input

I’m looking for something to use for outputting sound from my Digitakt or other instruments. What can you suggest that is stylish, practical, and has good sound quality?

Any idea?

P.S. Never buy this one:

( AUX problems & Terrible metallic-plastic flat sound )

Would an Apple Beats Pill work for you? I use it when displaying video, and it sounds good enough for that.

I second these as mine arrived and fantastic sound, portable wireless battery powered and loud for a tiny set of speakers! I just tested mine and really nice. Now to get large power battery pack for the synths.

JBL charge 4

Apple Beats Do not have an AUX input.

Just because something has a aux input does not mean there will be no latency.Def check that out first.Actually hard info to get with out trying it yourself.I’m still using an old (Bluetooth/aux) Jawbone big jambox which is very good sounding.Latency is very low/ok.I also got a Yamaha THR10 portable amp which is even better sound and louder. Not light or tiny tho.Takes batteries ect.

Bluetooth + Aux → definitely check the latency, you can’t be sure where the aux joins the signal path.

Aux only → it’s almost certainly analogue, no need to check latency.

Yeah I was thinking Bluetooth/aux combo as a lot of speakers have that now.

As I’ve mentioned in other threads on this topic, you can’t go wrong with a Minirig 4.

They are tough, well-made (pulled one apart out of curiosity), the battery life is solid and they sound immense for their size but without the overblown bass-iness of a lot of portable speakers. There’s no perceptible latency with wired input and they don’t have that aggressive power saving feature that makes many battery-powered speakers non-starters.

I run my synths through them all the time when I go travelling or jam in the park.

I don’t know how compact you’re looking for, but I have one of these CoolMusic powered amps and love it. Use it for guitar & vocals busking and bluetooth on-the-go as well

I bought a couple of minirig 2 and returned them, they had a few annoying things about them (which escape me now) to do with levels, overall sound and stereo.

In the end I got an Audio Pro T3+ which I am very happy with. See here
