Bluetooth speaker with AUX in?

I got an Anker Soundcore 2 for traveling. When I want to do music stuff, I plug it in to my iPad or synths via the AUX cable. Unfortunately, even when hardwired in, there’s 30s of latency. Anyone have any suggestions for acceptable sounding sub-$50 BT speakers with a low to no latency aux input?

Are you sure you’re not still connected to BT when you connect the audio cable? latency with a wired connection to a speaker seems weird. I have a JBL one that has wired connection, works great, no latency.

I had a jbl flip 3 for that, and i think the now sold jbl flip essential always have audio in… but double check

i use a JBL Flip4 when in need…it has both bluetooth and linein; only thing i don’t like much about it is that it stops working if the audio in is really low or none at all and when the audio level goes up again, it doesn’t start playing straight away. not sure it is something that can be changed somehow or it’s just the way it is. other than that it does the job

…bt speakes that still also offer oldschool line in are getting rare these days…

and no matter how fresh ur bluetooth only device might be…latency will always be a huuuge issue…hmmmm…

i’m all in with booms…boom 2 still had a line in to offer…boom 3 is already bt only…
but hey, now the finally learned to swim for real…

ooops…i’m no big help here…sorry…

I tried one of those massive JBL Boomboxes a while back but ran into the same issue.

If you play guitar I recommend checking out the Yamaha THRs. Line in and bluetooth can be used separately, and there’s a line out on the back that I send straight into my sampler. The aux speakers in it are a little weak, but the mixing capabilities and everything make up for it.

Even if you don’t play guitar you might dig the amp simulators and FX.

Edit - I guess this is well outside of your price range but I’ll keep this here.

100% positive. It was confirmed by Anker via email that there is a 30ms delay.

No delay

I also always wanted to try the famous but out of your budget minirig…

Have you used one? How’s the sound? Wish it were all black! Haha.

Sounds fine for listening to music and podcasts in the shower, which is my use case. One thing to keep in mind if using it for making music: it will turn itself off after a pretty short length of time with no signal.

Ok. Thanks!

You’re not lying. I was trying to find a BT speaker at target and I was shocked to see that there’s not many speakers with a line in.

Little JBL GO is quite nice, about the size of a cigarette pack, fairly light but not bad sounding at all, does not have that *annoying trigger happy eco power save mode, which seems all too common nowadays.

*Honestly if someone isn’t capable of turning their own speaker off when no longer using it, ridiculous.
