OS Update: Tonverk 1.0.1

"We’re also nearly there with the next OS, which will address the MIDI timing jitter (causing sync issues) and Auto Sampler latency, as well as adding further refinements. These issues are related, so fixing one will take care of the other. For that reason we want to ensure the solution we are currently testing is watertight. We’re aiming to release this in October. "

I actually get too cold to use my TV when it’s facing north. Submitted a bug report for it though fingers crossed it’s fixed in the next update

was hoping to hear something too.
I really want to start multi-sampling a bunch of stuff but already ran into the noise gap issue and without the ability to edit the sample… well, not much of a point in doing any of that right now.

Hopefully we see something this week.

I am still having a lot of MIDI Jitters issues , also its freeze a lot and I have to turn it down
is it only mine and its broken or the problem is not fix yet??
Can somebody help ( Electron team)???

So, October is coming to an end soon and many of us have to consider whether they want to keep TV or not. I rally like mine, but will not keep it, if I‘m not sure it will work well with other gear and autosampling. A little update from @Elektron when we can expect the update would be appreciated!

This one. I‘ve asked the retailer to extend it and they’re asking specifically for a date. So this would help me. I realize it sounds a bit ridiculous . But since they’ve started to be a bit more open, I thought it’s worth a shot!

Honestly, your best bet would be to return it and buy it again when the TV has what you need to do what you do. I don’t have a lot of faith the next update will address the jitter - reading their last post.

I’m one of the lucky ones and have found a good flow with the TV. Love mine and I can wait for the bugs to be ironed out.

But it’s freaking expensive and I’d be frustrated if I was like other folks. Totally get it.

They literally said that they understood the jitter and were planning the next update explicitly to address it and taking a long time so that they could be totally certain. It has seemed like that’s actually the only thing we should completely expect from the next update but I share @Azzarole ‘s impatience for it even though I’m not planning to return mine. I can afford to wait for it to get right, but since I really like the thing I want it to get right soon so I can actually use it more.

Introducing Tonverk

Hej,

We wanted to share an update on Tonverk. Many of you are already exploring its creative range, which is great. We also want to acknowledge those most affected by the current issues. You’ve asked for clearer updates, and we plan to raise our game in that regard.

Some issues on Tonverk were addressed in 1.0.1, and right now we’re deep into resolving the MIDI jitter issue. Progress is looking good here, and we have already corrected some other prominent bugs. Work continues as we line up 1.0.2, expected later this month, and the following OS versions.

Why does Tonverk have MIDI jitter, and why hasn’t it been fixed yet?

Despite extensive pre-launch testing that we conduct for all products, sometimes critical bugs only surface at or just after release. In Tonverk’s case, a late-stage optimisation introduced side effects that caused the jitter and some other unexpected issues. Tonverk is unlike anything we’ve built before, and launching on a completely new platform means treading new ground in many ways. As a result, solutions to problems are rarely straightforward.

Nevertheless, we want to say sorry for the rough edges some of you have encountered early on. We’ve navigated one or two of these moments before - stress dreams from the Octatrack and Digitakt launches spring to mind - but it’s very much an Elektron trait to turn such challenges into epic journeys not defined by their beginning. We’re confident the issues on Tonverk will be fully resolved very soon, and that its own adventure is only just beginning.

We’ve really enjoyed so much of the awesome Tonverk music and sound that is being created and shared, and though we’re sure most have seen it already, That Tonverk Sound is an excellent place to check out.
