Regarding clock - I haven’t tried sending clock yet myself - what happens when you change the Oscillator option to “Clock”? I’ve been trying to send Gate on/off from the A4, but had no luck with it yet. Not quite sure how to do it. I would imagine being able to set each active trig to either high or low gate, but have no clue how, and the documentation in the manual is pretty lacking in terms of the CV controls.
Gate works fine for me. Just set one of the CVs to gate and input it into a trigger input (maths trigger in or braids trigger in etc). It will open the gate every time you play a note and hold it as long as the note is held.
Try this…
A4 CV A (V/OCT) -----> Braids V/OCT input
A4 CV B (GATE) ------> Maths Trigger input channel 1
Maths CH1 +OUT ----> Optomix CONTROL CH1
Braids OUT ----------> Optomix CH1 input
Optomix output ------> A4 audio input

Nice, thanks mate! I haven’t been able to try it out much, to be honest, been working for a week straight, and finally have a few days off for some mucking about tomorrow. I thought this was the way I had patched to get the gate working, but I might have done something wrong somewhere, or maybe it was a case of the same error as I had with the sequencer. Anyhow, thanks a lot, will try it out first thing in the morning.

Sweet, man, thanks! I was thinking about waiting with the Pressure Points until I had a little 3U I could put on the table, to more ergonomically be able to control it, but I don’t think I’m going to wait, hehehe.
Ahh Pressure points is awesome right? I watched all the demos for it before I got it and thought ; Well that’s novel. But after laying hands on it I was blown away at how well it responded. I just wished you could chain more than two units with brains. Sixteen touch plates laid out in a horizontal skiff controlling a braids a dpo a few tip top perc modules and maybe that jomox m-brane (wish that wasn’t so bloody expensive!) would be the ultimate performance beatbox
How you gotten to play with the Tides yet, ned? How do you like it?
Had a busy few days so haven’t been able to write much. At the moment tides isn’t plugged in while I have these modules on loan. I do have another HEK so if the power chord reaches I will see if I can get something out before the weekend is over but I have a few other background projects on the go.
Want to take some PP vids too before I have to send it back.

Just got Frames, Ripples and the E350 today. The Frames is great fun, Ripples is a sweet sounding filter, and the E350 has a big range of sounds, can reach some really nice sweet spots when the FM input gets some juice (and otherwise, of course). I wonder if every module purchase is going to be like this though; "oh, so it can do this, and this, and this sounds sweet, but I need something like that to control this properly … " - I can see there always being a need for something more.

The uScale is on loan from clockface while I film some tutorial videos for them as is the uVCA and PP. Have to give them back this week.
As I am sequencing from the A4 quantisation isn’t really an issue. I haven’t managed to get the shift to respond nicely like in the video. It does come in handy when using the PP but I am planning on getting a rene so the uScale probably wont be all that useful. I thought the interval would be more useful for duophonic sequences but So far I haven’t got much done with it.
I want to try sending it a random LFO from my A4 and see what fun can be had that way but just haven’t had the time these past few days.

Lovely set up. Hows the Moskwa? I kind of got the impression it was a lot like the A4 arpeggiator. I was thinking about getting one but thought it might be a little redundant. How do you find it?
Also the EKO looks great. I was thinking of grabbing one at Tokyo Modular fest but turns out synthrotek aren’t coming (they are just sponsors).
The Moskwa is awesome. I use it a lot as a modulation source or a clock/gate source. Because of it’s lack of built in quantizer programming melodies that work in the 12 note western scale can get a bit fiddly (but it’s all part of the fun) so I do plan on buying a quantizer in the near future. ALL in ALL I really like Moskwa it gives me a different workflow than the A4 or even Silent Way and Ableton. If I was buying a sequencer today I’d probably go for the Synthrotek Sequence 8 over the Moskwa. The Sequencer 8 is a BEAST!
Synthrotek EKO, you can’t go wrong with that module…it’s a must have IMO.
I’m so happy I got Linix. At first I thought it was going to be overkill but turns out having lots of VCA’s is a blessing!

When I saw that demo video I had to get it. I also bought a second hand Z8000 from muffs. Been getting some great stuff out of it. Really must get round to making a video or two.
On another note just got a new case from doepfer in the post yesterday. It’s the base version of the P6 suitcase. Looks great. Just need to fill it up with goodies
