It’s all about the energy invested, there is a feature request email that is actually checked (to my knowledge? it hasn’t been disabled…)
And thankfully those direct requests are more energy than feature request threads on Elektronauts, which are not necessarily passed on to their product team and are primarily used for entertainment purposes / time wasting / showerthoughts and “wouldn’t it be great”.
I figure the emails are better put together and more serious in general beyond the audience participation aspects.
Maybe? My impression is that the most common feature requests on these threads aren’t particularly deep or complicated (to understand). For example, an option to turn normalisation off or loop without clicks.
I don’t feel spoilt. I wanted to sequence my tr-8s with the Digitakt 2 and I discovered that retrigs don’t work with midi. I wanted to send the arp of the Digitone 2 to a synth I have and I discovered I can’t. I wanted to add a longer vocal and try to put on time it and it requires hours of works. I want to register a live session and I need another device because maximum time is too short. I am a basic user.
