Nicely done there mate, do you rate the DBX compressors?

Yeah I used to have the old models years ago. I use one for the Drum Station and the other for the Bass Station racks. Pack some nice punch and you can pick them up dirt cheap on eBay. I may add 2 more to another 10u angled desktop rack I have here.

Wow, Looks great although I’ve no experience with Yamaha mixers, is it analog/digital ?

It’s a digital desk as far as I can see mate. Says it has onboard FX and all sorts but Iv’e not even plugged it in yet. I just added the MY8-AD24 to it, my intention was to feed the RD-9 outs into the card if I ever receive my RD-9 hehe.
It has motorised faders and a shit load of inputs. 16 channel usb audio too. Brand new February 2021 not even used as I said only to fit the card.

Nice, well maybe if your stuck with it I would consider it, what’s the asking price? It does look pretty complex for my needs, I’m used to old Midas desks and crib sheets when I learned FOT engineering at Gateshead college, with this huge nexus rig that sounded fucking fantastic. Motorised faders abs so on still blow my mind haha, so it’s also an audio interface, again that’s a big plus. I kinda wants something just to slam individual outs from a 606 clone I was considering for routing outs from the DT and OT to smash with distortion.

Still no sign of the RD9 ?

I’m not bothered if it sells mate tbh as I will use it if nobody grabs it off eBay. I have it up there for £1,350 all in, 17 watchers but only been on 3 days. I think they’re all waiting for a price drop that’s never gonna happen lol. Had a few messages I just ignore there.

Hahaha aye that’s a tad out my price range atm but once I sell my bits (if any of it ever fuxking sells) I’m on the hunt for a decent enough desk, more concern with ins and outs, I guess analog would be better but if it’s hitting wall of outboard with analog compressors then it’s problem solved

I’m getting rid of a load of gear mate listed about 8 things on eBay. I think I could easily get by on a drum machine and 3 synths. All the gear I have is total overkill the wife said to me earlier tonight when she seen it all getting boxed “who do you think you are, Octopussy” lol she said are you taking the piss? Apart from my electricity bill how the hell do you control all that with 2 hands haha but she’s right

That’s exactly why I keep it to two main players + 1 or 2 side kicks that need little attention. :+1:

What are you keeping?

Sounds awesome mate, love that older style driving sound. Very deep dark warehouse feel to it.

Sounds great. Nicely cut video too.

I’m keeping…

MPC-X
TR-8s
Micron
TD-3

But I may add the DSI Tetra shortly. I think there’s enough there with regards to drums and sampling.

Fantastic little synth (doesn’t sound little at all!). I bought and sold it 3x, missed it too much each time.

Just grabbed a Behringer BCR2000 like new off eBay cheap and then ordered some cool overlays to control my DSI Mopho.
Love this little yellow synth.

I’m gonna grab another one for another BCR2000 I’m watching for Tetra.

The Tetra one is wicked! Wonder if someone will make one for the new BC32 when/if it comes out?

Awesome! Also, maybe you’re not aware, but there’s an awesome sequencer firmware you can purchase for this controller:

Plan to stuff that into a suitcase. Ot and Lxr has one, but that norand doesn‘t fit well into that, space wise.

Thinking bout heat at end of signal too.

PS

If anyone is interested here’s a link to the synth and controller overlays.

There’s also overlays for Moog Little Phatty & Slim Phatty

and also for Waldorf Pulse 2

There could be a good place for it next to the Octatrack, might fill out the space a bit more evenly too :innocent:
