What's your latest purchase & what are your intentions with it? [pics ftw] (Part 3)

Akai MIDImix.

i like Launch Control XL better — but this one is more compact and also cheaper.
intention: having it in my backpack for making music on the go (with iPad).

My 1 month ‘review’ is pretty much that. It’s nice and small, very snappy and it has made me mostly ignore all my hardware boxes (for the time being at least) as I basically can do almost anything I think of with Live & Push without a hitch.

Got hold on these.

A B-Stock UNO Synth Pro keyboard version at 259€ to use as a midi controller (+ a nice bonus analog synth) with my Digitone II. I’ve missed having a Fatar TP/9S 37-key keybed with aftertouch since I sold the Digitone Keys.

I owe one to the friend who sent me the picture.
79€ feels like a steal for this powerful beast.

At full volume, it’s too much. But still clear.
Beats are precise. Deep end is what you’d expect, but still relatively present.
Nice one.

Auctioned this beauty yesterday. The description said the sound is scratchy sometimes, hopefully an easy fix.
I’ve always wanted an electric piano and last time one was for sale for a good price, it was snatched by someone else…couldn’t let it happen again.
It hasn’t arrived yet, but I had to share my excitement

Btw, anyone looking for an Electric Piano in Japan, there are some nice Rhodes on yahoo auctions right now…

oh, intention? Learn piano and bathe in the lush sound while forgetting the world!

One of my latest purchases: a keyboard stand that can support well over 100 lbs. My intentions? A place for my other latest purchase, a vintage synthesizer I’ve long desired. The synth is currently residing in San Diego and too delicate to ship, so I am leaving tomorrow to make the 1300 mile* journey to retrieve it.

(*each way. :grimacing:)

Looking forward to seeing what kind of vintage synth you’ve long desired and are willing to drive to California to retrieve!

Also, don’t text and drive

Rest assured, I’m such a synth junkie that I’d probably do it for a VL-Tone. But it’s not a VL-Tone.

In all seriousness, it’s a legendarily (notoriously) delicate instrument, so I wasn’t comfortable entrusting it to the shipping companies.

Looking forward to seeing pictures of your mellotron :+1:

Thanks. Unfortunately, I will only be in San Diego for the time it takes to pick up the synth. I have four days to make the trip, so can’t hang around anywhere (which sucks, 'cause I have friends along the way).

I wish. No. Sadly, a Mellotron is not in my future - I could never get one down the stairs and into my studio.

And grab a taco!

Now I want a taco. Do I have to wait for San Diego?

I would say a Chamberlin.

See above. Sadly not. Plus, I’m too fat to convincingly cover any Bowie songs.
