What's your latest purchase & what are your intentions with it? [pics ftw] (Part 3)

yeah, but that just shows that you’ve achieved expert level because you’ve added fullness to the low mids while still managing to fit the mid sides into a road trip car mix.

Just added a V10 to the collection. Intentions are to sum my DNII, DTII, and ST alongside some CDJs and take the hybrid sets to another planet. I’ve tried alot of different DJ mixers in my time on earth and I really enjoy the workflow on this one the most.

If only! I had a CS-60 for many years and have never stopped kicking myself for selling it. Nor for passing up on CS-80s back before they had become insanely valuable. Even a CS-80 would be considered rock-solid in comparison to the synth I’ve bought.

Nope. Way, way older. And my tech is none too pleased about it…

As a Top Gun fan, i always suggest people see the landmarks of the movie. The bar, the house, the palm tree…

Hoo boy, I wish I had that kinda money - and luck! No, I can’t afford to dream that big.

(the guesses here seem to suggest that you folks are a lot more optimistic about my bank balance than the grim reality of retirement warrants)

Believe it or not, I’ve never seen it… :flushed:

I’m always up for Legend, but entirely for the magnificence that is Tim Curry… :smiling_imp:

To keep it on topic, the synth in question was not used on the soundtrack to Legend, though it’s a safe bet that Tangerine Dream had one.

Synthi 100

Damn dude, if I can’t get a Mellotron in my basement, how the heck would I get that thing in? Also, I’m driving a Civic to pick it up. If I could afford a Synthi 100, I’d pay someone else to drive it - and me. (and I think my tech would prefer the Synthi 100 - or literally anything else - over the synth I’m getting.)

To avoid turning this thread into a guessing game thread, I’ll say that my playlist for the trip will consist of a lot of mid period Genesis, Moody Blues, ELO, and Klaus Schulze, to name a few. Probably gonna jam on Return to Forever, as well.

Is that a Ridley Scott movie? People will hate me even more now. Ridley Scott movies…unwatchable. i only liked The Martian (who didn’t?), Thelma and Louise, and maybe Blade Runner. Ok i shut up now.:zipper_mouth_face:

Enjoy your synth!

Yes. It wasn’t his - or Tangerine Dream’s - finest moment. But Tim Curry looked awesome in that demon getup…

Well…. My uncle cut a B3 in half to get it into his basement. I’m not sure how the internals were worked out, but it has latches to keep it together when in location, then unlatches to separate and haul.

Of course the Synthi might be…. More ridiculous.

Divide it by nine please!
