Never thought I’d buy a pre-relic’d guitar or bass, but here we are.
Never heard of the JMJ Mustang bass until it was mentioned in this forum. I developed GAS for it after reading/watching reviews. Everyone was talking this bass up like it would be da bomb even if was hot pink with unicorns pooping Skittles decals all over it instead of this pre-relic look.
Then Sweetwater had a sort of flash sale on some Fender products and this was one of them. They had 4 in stock. I was amused about scratches and stuff looking the same on all 4. I picked the lightest one and ordered that.
I love the light weight and the playability. Sounds pretty good too.
Intention: Use as slop… I mean human feel alternative to sequenced/arpeggiated synth bass lines when the music calls for it.

Yep, a Jaspers KR200-6-150RB. Plus the 19" rack inset and some additional holders to accomodate everything.
It took a long time to get all the rows configured just right, and I’ve continued to fiddle with it a bit as gear has come and gone, but it’s so much better than the clutter of keyboard stands I used to have.
I freed up lots of space on the desks in my office when I got my Jaspers but somehow that free space managed to get filled with eurorack cases. Whoops!

Was able to snag one of the first ones of these…
First impressions… very fun! haven’t hooked up a patch cable but can go from very harsh to very Detroit sounding… interested to get this to play with the MAD Drop when that comes out later this summer.

Finally arrived and it is an absolutely lovely thing. Just feels very zen to push faders around and go wherever the sound goes. It’s all sweet spot yet it is quite deep in ways I’m still discovering.
I’m going back to playing with it now

I think it sounds fantastic from the YouTube videos and it has great potential for some nice sound design. My SH4-d arrived this morning it’s quite nice and sounds great.

TAC Scorpion 24-16-2 and Teac 80-8 !!! Planning on ditching the computer for good!! nPardon the mess, ha I had to reconfigure the room to fit this thing. New pics when set up to come.
