What's your latest purchase & what are your intentions with it? [pics ftw] (Part 3)

I have to ask:

Are you the operator?

Not sure what you mean. Calculator joke? I do play keys and so far I’ve tried it with my Arturia Keystep.

Just wanted to know you were the operator of your pocket calculator.

Just the MPC Live II

The others I had already, but they look good together (and complement each other well).

This thing (Expressive E Touche’) has been out for something like 6 or 7 years, but I just discovered it a couple of months ago and finally bought one. Very tactile. I am enamored with anything that makes sound with the slightest “touch” (this, Push 3, Linnstrument, Osmose). I do wish they’d consider backfilling some missing features since it’s been out for so long (like VST 3 plugins), but it is what it is.

Behringer pro 800 - budget analog which i will probably use for basslines, sfx, chords and clunky drums. Love the wooly sound of it and the fact that you can save your patches!

Roland SP404mk2 - intention was to have this as a color box, but it’s not clicking with me in any way and also I dont really like the ‘color’. Need something fast like 303 or 202. So intention now is the return it asap

Finally added Habit to the board. I’m not sure I’ll stick with it, but I’ll give it a thorough go as I like the idea of the scanning.

Intentions are happy accidents.

If you like making experimental/ambient pieces then highly recommend digging into the ‘collect’ function. The video on Chase Bliss YouTube ‘Making Songs With Habit’ I found to be really inspiring.
