What's your latest purchase & what are your intentions with it? [pics ftw] (Part 3)

hi thanks for the post. might I ask what type of mixer (?) you have there off to the left?

I think it’s a Rode RodeCaster.

@Tchu is correct. It is a Rodecaster Pro 2.

Just curious why you chose this over an OXI One. Or was it not even a consideration?

to me it felt like the hapax is a fully fledged master sequencer and the oxi is more like a generative thing. just me though

and you can create your own instrument definitions

A tourist tat rababa without its bow, but sounds decent plucked. A battered shekere that sounds very nice. And an indeterminate shaker with some sort of tropical scene on the side. All for a tenner from the local street junk market. Purpose: to record/sample and get me over just twiddling knobs on drone boxes and back into real sounds

Thanks @eocyte for mentioning the reissue of this on vinyl! Otherwise I could have missed it.

Oh that is great man!

You are lucky that you found one. Just released and already out of stock.

Enjoy the listening.

Cheers

Do I really need to say what I’m using this for…:thinking::thinking::thinking:

Kinda. I at least need an explanation of your layout and resulting workflow

Loving the condom shaker!

Syncussion in, Neutron packed away. Intention is to track the syncussion in DAW so I can use separate delay settings apart from the digitone sends. Space sounds!

Alright, it’s MM audio into DT2. The DT2 is sending out midi to the MM but is acting very weird. Sometimes it responds to stop/start messages, sometimes it doesn’t. The manual says it’s best set as the master but I wondering if there’s a workaround for this.

Intention is to use PolyMux effect to squeeze some polyphony out of my Syntakt in an effort to stave off DN2 purchase
But I think it will also be a lot of fun with my other devices.
