This looks like a good course!
Sure will post an update to one of the Ableton threads since discussion of the course would be more on-topic there.
4 indipendent tracks of saturation+2 delays+reveb+filter and some modulation added
@Schnork
thanks for the detail reply, i was mostly looking at reverb, ill stay away from the mx200, you confirmed what i have read elsewhere, they are not very good reverb unit.
The idea about the delay/looper is great, i have a tc d-two delay that am not using(got it for free), now i know what to do with it :).
Just arrived - a pair of these Adam Audio D3V compact monitors. I don’t have an expert ear by any means, but to me they immediately sound much better than the previous Presonus Eris speakers I’ve had for a while. They were OK, but the difference here is obvious in terms of both build quality and sound.
Even as the smallest/cheapest monitors they make, these probably qualify as the first “proper” pair of monitors I’ve ever owned. The bass is much more full (the passive radiators sound fat) and the high-end sounds great. I notice that things sound a bit more harsh when I crank the volume but that’s probably because I’m actually getting some decent high end from the ribbon tweeters. When I turn the volume down to a sensible level I still have both bass and clarity which is great.
Worth noting they have a built-in audio interface so it’s just a USB-C cable straight to my laptop. Very convenient.
Got an Erica Synths Black Sequencer!
My intention is to try to use my modular as standalone as possible, and to try out something different from the absolutely amazing Elektron Sequencer
Loving my black sequencer! Takes quite a lot of space but totally worth it.
Nice detachable ergonomic Keyboards!
I’ve also got one of these on the way from germany. The front panel looks hella shiny in your picture - is it that shiny looking IRL as well?
It’s more of a matte black IRL. Definitely not shiney.
Thanks! I think I actually like my keycaps a little more sculpted, but I’m really happy with the ferris sweep ![]()
Also bought a Zoom Livetrak L6 so I can pan individual modular voices and record stuff without having to set up my computer.
Also got two modules: Abacus (a Maths clone) and a THIRD 904A low pass filter.
Abacus is really fun! Was playing around with Abacus, sine oscillators, and white noise.
Its a joy to use the Godfather
I got it a couple hundred cheaper tban most asking prices so said what the hell
If i dont like it ill sell it on
Defo a keeper
Oh, the memories! I had less than a teeny tiny part in the production of that music video in -98 (providing inspiration material, reference videos). I remember we knew the video was going to be banned from MTV before it was finished. Also remember Liam calling to get us to make a copy of the master and we had to do this manually in one of those duplication units - didn’t want to get that wrong! ![]()
I picked this for my wedding first dance but unfortunately got overruled
My wife and I didn’t have your typical, traditional wedding, we went Hawaiian, but if I had asked to play that, I think she would have said ok.
(not sure if it would have been first, but…)
That said, I would have played Diesel Power instead. Our marriage continues like that… …with diesel power…
I had a similar wedding planning experience with “love like anthrax” by gang of four
Quadraburp replacement screen, lookin shnazzy. Intentions, see words on screen.
Also came with fun card:
Couple new pedals: Boss RE-202 & Chase Bliss Clean
I also intend on getting the Chase Bliss Lossy.
My intentions are use it to build a new pedal board for sound design with my guitar & synths.
I’ve ordered a Voodoo Lab Pedal Power ISO 5 to replace the < $50 Amazon special I use now. I might order a larger pedal and get some shorter cables.
Still some things I need to order & work out. I need to build a new workflow to figure out how I would like to use it with my current setup.
had this a few days back and still learning. surprisingly easy to use but also quite deep
loving it so far. should’ve bought it 2 years ago when it was released but i didn’t want to deal with the bugs ![]()

sequencing melodies is a treat (32 bars fuck yeah), but i’m still unsure about using it for drums. maybe the best way is to generate patterns on the hapax, then print it on the elektrons and then p lock the hell out of them. anyone else doing the same?
