What's your latest purchase & what are your intentions with it? [pics ftw] (Part 3)

I see, then I’d definitely wait till you’ve unpacked and used the mixer a bit before even thinking about another one.

You live and you learn, no idea something like that even existed! Your stylus will thank you

Nifty. Just make sure to treat the process with some care as toxins can be released.

Cheers, I’ve been having a good read up and watch about the whole process. Been thinking of getting one for some time but with all these 12” landing at my door I thought now’s a great time to pull the trigger.

The Novation Peak just arrived now so I’ll hook it up with Digitone 2 this afternoon and give it a try out. This thing is heavy :grinning:

Hi, do you still habe the MSF Drop? I signed up with MSF after the 2024 Superbooth coverage but passed when my name came up because I could not find any recent non-MSF videos or sound examples of people using the finished instrument. I saw that it is now available from Schneidersladen (for roughly 950 Euros), but the price is still a bit steep for me without more examples of people actually using it…

I’m trying out the Peak with Digitone 2 right now and it is great so far. The Peak sounds amazing I don’t know why I haven’t bought this long ago.
This thing has some bottom end on it I wish it had a second filter to tame it a bit. The FX sound absolutely fantastic especially the “REVERB

Another 4-5 weeks and I should be able to set everything up as I have limited space whilst decorating goes on here.

Yes I still have my MSF Drop. I love it. Though if you are looking for “softer” examples I am the wrong person. I am actually very excited to use my new Oxi one mk2 for LFO and MOD duties.

Here are two examples of Tracks I put out using the DROP(and solar 42 f).

Wow, thanks! Sounds amazing!

Sometimes you just gotta unbox.
I let an 802VLZ4 sit for nearly a year.
Sold it, and almost immediately needed it.
Got one on the way from Reverb now.

TBF though, that Onyx 16 looks bigger than a pinball machine…

I’ve been using the Peak all day it’s addictive and so simple to get around. Everything I need is mainly on the front panel. As I said earlier I wish I had bought this long ago it’s a keeper and hooks up great with the Elektron boxes. Hope you get one soon :ok_hand:

This is the pairing I’m experimenting with right now too! :star2:

Maybe six or seven years ago I had a dream of one day owning either the V-Synth XT or the Integra 7. Both were way out of my league as they cost over a 1000 euros a piece. I never have that kind of money to spend on gear.

Buying the book shop has made my income more steady than it was as a freelance graphic designer so in those five years of owning the shop, I slowly but surely achieved my dream. Two of my absolute dream synths in my rack.

One of the reasons I wanted the V-Synth was to be able to do all those Variphrase tricks I’d seen videos of. It turned out that the V-Synth had so much going on that it was kinda hard to get to those sampling and encoding features and I couldn’t achieve what I had originally bought the synth for. Love it as a synth and as a sound design tool, but the Variphrase functionality was hidden deep and I never kinda got to learn it.

Today, I finally got the missing piece, the VP-9000, which is the OG Variphrase machine. I traded it for something I believe I had no use for and now my Roland-fanboy-rack is complete. I even got almost all the original sound libraries included in the deal. Couldn’t be happier.

My intention is to learn to use it the same way Daft Punk did on Discovery and conquer the world.

After sealing this deal I felt happy, content and gasless for the first time in years.

Then I remembered that I really want to get a Yamaha SU-700.

It took me seven minutes to remember. But for those seven beautiful minutes I was very happy. No GAS at last.

I bought this small utility: SPLITMIX4 4-Channel Splitter/Mixer | ART Pro Audio

Use: split my ALT 3/4 out from my mackie mixer to not only the OT, but also my Eurorack, Torso S-4 and my Nord G2. Now i can send a stereo signal from every channel of my Mackie to anything that has stereo inputs. Yeah!

Sequential OB6, Roland SH0 1A and finally after many many months of placing the equipment on and off, in different tables, loving it, hating it, I had enough and got a Jaspers 3d 105b to finally have a complete setup I could work with.
It’s all finally makes sense. No computer, just jamming and jamming
Plan is to produce a set of about and hour and maybe play somewhere with a reduced setup.
Greetings from Berlin.
