Latest acquisitions are a 4ms DLD and the Joranalogue Receive 2.
On the Rx 2, I have never regretted buying a utility.
On the DLD, I love that it doesn’t try to sound vintage, that it has a huge buffer and doesn’t pitch shift when you modulate the time, and that the firmware is mature.
2nd go around with the OP-1 Field. Price was too good to pass and I appreciate what it is more after loving the EP-133 and wanting a similar couch box that is more synth and oddball sequencer focused. Will be selling my Chompi unfortunately, this covers way too much similar space.
birthday present from my girlfriend: it has a record input so i’ll be doing exactly what any other analog fetishist with a load of synthesisers would do
Funny, when I saw them touring “Bug” at Lee’s Palace in Toronto in 1989, the sound was kind of low. Also no stage lights at all. I eventually went to stand in front of the left speaker (right was no good). No stage patter either, they just bent over their instruments. I think they all hated each other already.
ayyy these a fun! im about to gift mine to my nephew, hes been using a cassette player that only has a mono playback head so hoping to blow his mind with some stereo
well despite trying to downsize, I ended up with this beast. when I sold my OB6 I did so because I thought it lacked some of the magic that my Prophet 5 has. that imperfectness of vintage analog (without being vintage). and I figured I’d pick one of these up to try out when a deal popped up. well, one did. and it’s pretty damn incredible so far. the Page 2 stuff isn’t as annoying as I thought it would be. I love the different filter, LFO and envelope options. and there’s just generally more to it than other analog polys I’ve had. more depth and options, but not too many.
I also picked up the Microcosm. intentions are to make everything sound like Rival Consoles.
Well, I went a bit off script for my poly synth. I really wanted the 3rd Wave keyboard, but since this is going to be largely a hand-played setup, I could not resist what you’ll see below.
I’ve basically sold the whole studio except my trusty Digitone Keys.
So here’s the new studio, which will actually FIT IN THE ROOM, be comfortable and easy for me to use when I get my little bits of time to sit down in it, and it’s going to get me playing more. Which is what I like.
UDO Super Gemini (on the way)
Digitone Keys (the one remaining item)
Rupert Neve Transformer RNDI-S (on the way)
Digitakt II (on the way)
TT-303 (the other remaining item, gotta have acid)
And that will be that. Hoping to grab two of the Neve 1073 interfaces at some point, but for now, the DI will do nicely. Recording into either the Bluebox or M3 Macbook Pro with TBD inteface. (hopefully those Neves… otherwise, not sure)
