What's your latest purchase & what are your intentions with it? [pics ftw] (Part 2)

With the news of WMD closing up shop I thought I better secure anything of interest! Love me a DJ filter and this is a pretty dope design. I think it’s going to be used on a single voice rather than end of chain, I have 2 filters at the master already

Intention is to complete the post-punk/shoegaze nostalgia pedalboard and maybe play some Swedish death metal too

Nice! I still have my original Boss HM-2 from the late 1980s… have fun! The Waza mode and lower noise floor would be nice for sure.

Things happened. Credit cards got maxed. But hey check out this cross modulation!
Ialways laughed when people on Modwiggler recommend to newbies to start with a big case because you’ll want the added space. Bunch of inablers over there.

haha

You might end up with a bit of a bigger case, but you’ve already got some pretty ace modules there. Enjoy!

Same things happens over at Modulargrid.

I’d like to see a dedicated thread for this. Definately interesting how there seems to be a movement in different locations.

finally… working on an industrial / techno project, so this will go to good use. back to the 3 elektrons team!

Just a boring old decksaver I picked up second hand (£20 - result!).
I just need to wait for my Analog 4 to come back from Sweden so I can use it.

Finally pulled the plug on a Pulsar 23. Got a decent deal on an B stock unit that hasn’t even been opened! Now I just need to sell 1.5k worth of Eurorack modules to pay for it

An MPC Live 2. My intention is to learn a completely different workflow than what’s on the Elektron devices, learn some finger drumming, and try to get into making tracks by resampling. At 6400 NOK (roughly 660 USD) with a 500GB installed, it was too good a deal to pass up.

Yeah that’s a nice price. I look forward to learning more about the MPC through your videos. You taught me a lot about the Digitone and Analog Four!

Got one of these to go with my Timeline.

It will simplify my mixing and recording a little bit. I had a hardware delay looped into my Bluebox, but had to add reverb in the box afterward with either my Eventide plugins or Izotope Neoverb. Both of which are great, but it just added steps, when I don’t have any “Free Time TM”

I never understood pedals. But i get it….fucking rack mount shit, having to go to the back to setup or swap is a total vibe killer.

Pedals :+1:t6:

how can 1 person be so dense. I don’t get me sometimes :man_facepalming:t5:

I never wanted them either until I started seeing things like the Strymons and Merises and Empresses etc. getting used with synths. Also, with the shift from rack SYNTHS to desktop SYNTHS over the last several years, having a couple of pedals sitting on the desk doesn’t really matter anymore. I would have thought it was silly back when I had racks full of gear. I don’t even own a single rack device anymore, unless you count a few network switches running my home network.

The form factor is a little bit odd for the studio, but the gear inside is the same. SHARCs etc.
