Marvellous. I hope this great plugin keeps getting updated. Been using it on everything since I got it.

has anyone got this midi triggering randomizer elements (channel 11, midi notes 0-3, 12-14 & 24-31) to work?

it just triggers the drum sounds for me, which are meant to only be on channel one according to the manual.

am i missing some crucial step?

Hey! I just responded to a similar email that might be you, but I’ll post another answer here if it’s helpful for anyone else:

In Ableton, the easiest way I’ve found to send to specific MIDI Channels on Battalion is to create a blank MIDI track. I then set the MIDI To for this track to route MIDI to the track with Battalion on it. After I select that track, a new dropdown box appears where I’m able to select which MIDI Channel is being used to send messages to Battalion.

If I select Channel 11 here on the dropdown, then the MIDI messages are working as expected.

Over on the Loopy Pro forums, we’ve launched the new public betas for Bass Mint, Silo, Tails, Needlepoint, and lo-fi-af. These add preset import/export for sharing presets with the desktop plugins. After these are stable, we can launch the Battalion iOS beta.

Damn, you tricked me, i was expecting some update

Was just wondering the same?
In one of the previous posts, someone mentioned, midi channel 11, midi note from 0 to X, but i couldn’t make it to work
I think i still have v1.04

The MIDI features were added in 1.0.5. I highly recommend updating to 1.0.7 as we added more engines and effects, plus all the MIDI features.

Follow that quote to then check out the way to route MIDI channels in Ableton.

Silo, Tails, and lo-fi-af updates were released today. I’m fixing one last bug on Bass Mint and that will ship, and Josh is tweaking one of the Needlepoint features before that goes out. NI Legal is sending us an updated contract for distributing the Battalion samples in the iOS binary, as all of the non-artist samples in the Battalion factory library come from Maschine expansions. Other than that, Battalion iOS is about ready for public beta launch.

Aside from the iOS patches, we’ll update the desktop counterparts for those plugins to allow one click export of the User Library presets so that you can more easily import them into iOS. We’ll send those patches into PA soon.
