You should post this in SW DEALS : Software on Sale too BTW

Hmm I cant get it to work and it says excluded on the offer page? Wonder if this thread alerted them lol

Looks like they removed Battalion :frowning: Was working earlier. Just tried again now and it doesn’t.

An alternative is to go on KVR Forum’s Buy/Sell/Trade section and find someone selling a FOREVER 29 voucher. They go for $40 usually. Then you can use the voucher to get Battalion. That voucher works. I’ve used it before to buy Battalion.

Really pleased to hear midi control to change a preset. For me that will negate the need for a pattern system as I think I’d just save as on one preset and edit it for the next part of a song and swap between presets - the presets become patterns and you can use different sounds. The workaround I tried was a second track with Battalion and a different preset routing to the same audio tracks as the first instance. Except that I couldn’t work out how to get the two instances sharing the routing.

It’s much better to have actual patterns so you can save sounds independently from sequences.

Patterns in a sequencer/DAW or patterns in Battalion?

In Battalion!

I don’t know if it has been mentioned here but the LFO reset is not working in the way it is described in the tool tips.

Free Run, according to the tooltip, should reset on Daw transport but it doesn’t it just keeps running so it makes phase locking the LFO to the DAW pretty much impossible.

Also the tool tips on the sampler engines are out of sync. If you change sampler engines then the previous engine’s tooltips are displayed.

I think in battalion is the way to go. And then record the stems as audio while performing on the machine. Treat it like a real drum machine and you can get a more organic feel.

I love the performance page. It’s so good.

That said, I may try sequencing it on my Torso t-1 since I am using that for knob control. That would basically make it a complete hardware experience with live muting and pattern changes.

I’m still figuring all that out.

Thanks for the report! I’m not sure when this broke, but I just verified the bug on my end. Fixing now. It will be in the 1.0.5 beta.

Was having a jam with this last night. Great update, thanks!

Really cool updates! Happy to see you’re keeping adding new stuff to an already feature packed plugin

I mentioned it before but I’d love to have easier access to the randomisation amount, I feel like the randomiser is one of the really cool features, but right now to experiment with different randomisation amounts is multiple clicks (open menu, move mouse to randomisation control, adjust, close menu). Would be lovely if you could change this so the randomisation amount is always visible in the UI somewhere!
