What I mean by MOD modularity is that instead of having, let’s say, two dedicated voice LFOs, two FX LFOs and one ENV per track/channel, I would love to have x number (5 in this case) of freely assignable MOD slots per track. For instance, if someone preferred to have 5 envelopes/voice LFOs/etc on a channel rather than two voice LFOs, two FX envelopes and one envelope, why not let the user pick instead?
I see great potential in sound design options if we had the flexibility of “MOD machines”.
MOD Envelopes per Bus and Send Channel
As per title, having a MOD envelope on Bus and Send channels would help shape the sound, e.g. by modulating AMP volume using plocks etc.
Multimode Filter FX on Bus Channel
I do find the LP Filter FX on the Bus tracks too limiting. If there was a multimode filter, it would allow for greater flexibility, and would help side chain a kick by high-passing the bus’ signal using plocks for example.
Filters on FX and Bus Channels
As @Ulysses recently called them, the empty squares of hope (which I find really funny and fitting) on the FLT pages of the Bus and Send channels look promising and I would love seeing some filters there some time in the future
Having played with one for a few hours, one thing that stuck out as a peculiar omission is the lack of VEL macro.
In TRIG Setup there is one for AT, BW and PB, but not for velocity.
Seeing how the VEL macro on AR and DTII/DNII are awesome for making very responsive and organic sounding percussion sounds - AND since it is the only macro which is P-lockable in the internal sequencer - then it is a sore miss.
Was not sure if I should have posted this in the bug thread
I’m travelling at the moment, but have it with me. Did actually buy a USB battery pack at gas station to attempt to see if I could power it on the go. But Alas I guess that particular one was not powerful enough.
Just to say I’ll have to get back to you on that.
USB Host mode - I want to send my other Elektrons to TV like you’d expect, especially in the case of all-digital Elektrons, additional AD/DA conversions are a waste
I think it would be cool to have the Mod envelope params be the same as amp envelope, or ability to do amp + copy be pasted to mod env + paste for the same result
I would love for the bus-level compressor effect to allow an assignable sidechain source, or at the very least, allow users to control what inputs route to the mix-level compressor. Being able to exclude from compression the kick that’s ducking everything else is essential.
I am not sure if the OS would even allow it, but it also would of course be amazing to make the TV a USB-host to extend its input count for class-compliant devices.
what’s the official way for sending feature requests to Elektron, please? Is there a particular email address or is going through their support forms the recommended way?
