As has been mentioned previously in another thread, the Tonverk startup screen itself displays the abbreviation TV, so that probably makes it canon.

So far the only thing I really miss is the ability to name and/or rename the multisample instruments created with the autosamplerā¦

Just a quick one about āTransformā
From the manual it seems that it affects all the trigs of the selected track, but to me would be also convenient to being able to use it on a per page basis.
That way you can very quickly come up with useful variations inside the same pattern, and elevate the workflow by working on the physical 16 steps you have in front, like add variation, fine tune, move to next page, rinse and repeat and in no time you have a number of pages with organic triggering across a whole pattern.
Does it make sense for others too?

I was surprised by that as well. However, you can use an aux send channel in the real or virtual mixer in your studio so that all your instruments can go to this unit.
Iām glad multisampling is backā¦ There were a dark ages period from around 2005 to 2023 where it was completely forgotten on hardware units. Itās like they forgot that some people actually play a keyboard. I have the Nanobox Tangerine and itās great fun paired with mono analog synths or any synth really.
On the other hand, I feel that for the MSRP it should have all the abilities of the Octatrack, even if itās in a different workflow. So weāll see.

Well there were the mpc and deluge. Iām pretty sure there are workstation keyboards too that support multisampling.
Neither MPC nor Deluge are dedicated samplers. Also, can you auto-multisample directly into the unit with multiple velocity layers? Looks like in the deluge you have to drag files which is not a very immediate or tactile experience
With mpc its possible with multiple layers.

in sample assignment after sampling, the possibility to assign several tracks (eg pressing several track buttons)
Got my Tonverk today and couldnāt find these useful features from the DT2 (as far as I can see they are not mentioned in the manual):
- Page looping
- Preview trig (hold trig + yes)
Would love to get them on the TV.
And also slicing, of course

i have no TV so far:
subtracks:
- add at least an on-off switch to some minimal fade/crossfade time as a hidden menupoint. Does not have to be a p-lockable switch. nor adjustbale. just on-off for click free loops
Only works when you dont wanna Edit the Layers afterwards. But once you wanna change one (or more) of these Sample Layers after youāve recorded that stuff (to get the Tracks back that you used for the Layers initially) you are f**ed up. Seriously - Sample Layering should really not be a Problem in a modern Sampler today. Really not.
That would be interesting to try out if it could do that. Still not a true layer, but could be a workaround until they (hopefully) implement it one day.
yet, the world is full of people who love to commit such layering choices early on during the processā¦ YMMV

- All the features from existing devices for file search, renaming, etc.
- Slice machine
- Granular machine
- Wavetable machine
- Euclidean sequencer
- More FX just keep them coming
- A simple synth engine
Mainly QOL things are most important. File management feels underbaked.

I was really surprised to see the filterbank doesnāt have resonance. Seems like it really missed out on doing the Moog Spectravox thing, which would be amazing for stuff like techno. I love that effect in this video.
