A tuner would be nice to see if we’re all right.
Overbridge
USB keyboard support + notes property for various elements such as projects, patterns…
Multi-track audio over USB (as mentioned by Loopop).
Loopop has all of mine covered I think.
Main thing being slice machine and granular machine, a basic synth machine would be great too but I can totally live without that, as I assume you can do single cycle waveform looping like on DT. How the SP404 handles this is neat though with the tone generator, as a convenience.
I hope they add every single feature from every other Elektron box even if it clearly makes no sense and would be impossible.
So as far as I understand from my quick look you cannot use the usb c as an input from say a Syntakt or digi box. Hope they add that, or the ability to add an audio interface.
Timestretch.
Deeply unpopular opinion that I’m sure will be ignored or flamed:
Ditch Overbridge, ideally across the board, and focus on the devices. Not device drivers.
I think this thread should focus on that actual product and not something that does not exist.
assuming sub tracks are geared for drum machine type samples -
…choke groups on subtracks? so hi hat can cut off closed hi hat ?
…banks / selectable samples on each subtrack … so you could trig lock other sample instead only triggering the one assigned to the 1/8 tracks.
no idea which OS loopop had… there seemed to be a few obvious / low hanging fruit for QOL … memory used etc.
didnt notice if it had track swap … that type of thing from recent boxes either… i’d guess it might arrive at some point…
overall - the loopop video had a lot of things already… i’m sure it been an epic task to get that all working…
adding machines of syntakt and digitone into it. At least that’s what I wished for, a mix of synth and sampling. I think I can control the GAS in this one ![]()
I too wished for a box with all of it. I don’t want to operate more than one sequencer, it’s tedious and can get complicated.
But not only that, I wished for something where I can swap pattern per track.
Perhaps I want to change the bassline , and only the bassline and not the whole lot.
Maybe I’m more a force or 707 guy in the end. Maybe Ableton Push? I like Bitwig too.
I really like Digitone2 and Octatrack too, but that are some things it seems don’t come to Elektron world.
Wavetable engine. Granular Engine, Slice Engine. Sequencable scenes. (Paramter slide over x bars on perform mode.)
Record trigs, and autogrid on recording.
Backing track maschine. I.e. play sample with one shot trigs. Dont reset when switching to new pattern.
Kits.
Macros like A4, several pages… and midi Cc to control the macros.
Slide Trigs.
Layer Samples on one track.
Sample Slot as mod destination.
Really hoping some kind of MSEG or LFO designer can be added. Imagine an MSEG routerdto those effects parameters
And parameter slides please ![]()
I was surprised to see that the Tonverk doesn’t have slicing, considering that it was just added to DT2. Would love to see it added to Tonverk soon.
Sample slicing…and/or more than 8 slots for subtracks
