Tonverk Feature Requests

I did test this and it didn’t work, that’s why I posted the suggestion here

Stupid question , but subtracks can be stereo samples , right ?

Sure, stereo and polyphonic IIUC. They also support round robin (although the patches need to be made on the computer in order to support RR for now)

cool idea, kind of vector-y.

I can see something like that at home here.

After one evening of exploring, my top 3 feature requests are:

  1. Trig previews ([Trig] + [Yes])
  2. Arm mutes ([Func] + [Track] while in Mute mode, toggle armed mutes on [Func] release)
  3. Ability to copy & paste patterns without stopping the sequencer (although as an Octatrack user I believe I can live without this  )

I’ve purchased and am loving the philosophy and possibilities of the TV, thank you! My top features requests:

  • Live Looper machine
  • Granular machine
  • USB host (allowing USB to be used as stereo input)

have an option under settings->personalize that lets the user configure for how long a popup, such as the volume meter’s, is displayed and/or make it possible to hide it by pressing the “no” button

make the order of effects processing configurable (FX1->FX2 or FX2->FX1 respectively). as an alternative, make FX pages swappable.

Quadraphonic and even a hex panner, and a quad/hex delay. Maybe it would make sense for the mixer track FX slots.

I bet you can achieve some similar results with some creativity but it would be so much cooler if Elektron made some dedicated effects like these. And, in my experience, piecing together stereo effects to simulate quad panning, filtering, or delay, is pretty hard, and getting modulateable synchronized controls would require macros.

It would make the 6 outputs much cooler.

I encountered the need for this tonight, but was happy to see that I at least could copy the settings from my FX1 slot, select the same effect for FX2 slot, and paste it there again.

the visual pitch indicator for samples on subtracks is barely usable because it is very hard to tell what the actual pitch is (scaling issue?). Would a temporary popup that shows a zoomed-in view be a good fix? also, pressing and holding the SRC button should show its numeric value

Pressing the PTN button currently only turns on the backlights of those buttons on the bottom row of buttons that have any trigs set, probably as an indicator for whether the pattern is empty or not.

However, if a pattern is solely used as an FX processor without any trigs, it should not be considered empty. could this be changed please?

Loop point detection for multisample drones. Please and thank you.

  • Sequencer update. A way for it to move backwards and in any kind of a random fashion.

  • Timestretching.

  • Different time signatures for sub tracks

  • Multitrack audio

FX Presets

FX have been significantly expanded with parameter options, and with the ability to run different FX on multiple tracks, preset saving functionality would be beneficial for faster workflow.

A more complex request here would be preset groups wherein 2 or more FX that play off each other in routing to create one singular effect could also be saved/configured. I think most users would just be happy with the preset saving option in general.

Ping-pong sample playback mode

Specifically with ‘Single Player’ in mind, this is used in a popular sound design technique with polyphonic samplers, where the different speeds of voices crossing over each as they scrub through the sample leads yields very distinct results.

I think you can already do that by sequencing the bus tracks. Check out this video starting around 2:00

What i’d really like is some way to managed patterns banks and sets in a drag and drop fashion to reorganise my jams and pieces as ideas develop. This would be incredibly useful across the range.
