Both tracks are great, but this last one I’ve played on repeat this morning. Keep us up to date if you decide to release it in a longer version on bandcamp or something - just five minutes of what you got would be awesome. I’d love to drop it in a dj set ![]()
Thanks! Appreciate it!
I might collect a couple of these Syntakt explorations and put em out as an EP
Please do. I’ll be there instantly!
New Syntakt video where I go through the process of making more techno stuff with SY Chord in a very short amount of time.
Sorry for hogging up the thread but I have a new Syntakt video where I’m using SY Chord to do some techno rumbles. ![]()
Surprisingly “other world messages” feeling. STK is not obvious here. Thank u for this music, love it.
Great stuff as usual!
cheers
Thank you ^^

I see ya have the ableton move , any good ? (with that tiny screen)
Thinking of a sound module to add between digitakt and syntakt , im also thinking arturia astrolab 37 , somthing small / portable and bread an butter …and Move can have a lot of poetntial for that
I’ve only had it for a couple of days so I’m still getting to know it, but it’s pretty good yes! It can be an awesome sound module if you like Drift because the full synth’s in there. (that’s sort of why I got it, to be a Drift sketchpad)
But it’s equally great at putting some Syntakt sounds in a drum rack and making some techno patterns.
I’m not bothered by the screen at all. It’s small but serviceable and shows what it needs to show. Your mileage may vary though.
Thks for the feedback , im a bitwig user , so not familia with drift but i do have live 9 suite somewhere , will have a look … i prefer to not sample the syntakt personnaly , the beuaty is in the varirtaion of parmaeters (subtile or not ) i can make on this box , for a more static drum machien appaorach i used digitalt 2 , i will mainly appaorch move as a rompler / synth …
Do we have regualr sounds like piano , strings ,voices , brass ,ect … or can we get some live content and put it in ?
Drift is Live 11 and up only so Live 9 won’t help you there. ![]()
It does have your bread and butter sounds as well, but if you’re just looking for just a sound module something like the Astrolab might be a better fit.
Thks , astrolab only problem is the need for computer to really do deep editing , not a crazy thing but still ![]()
And mpc 37 is really to bulky …
Is anyone using the syntakt for synthwave stuff?
I do an annual event here in Milwaukee where you get randomly assigned band members and have to put together a set, and I think we’re leaning towards doing synth wave stuff. We didn’t pull a drummer this year and I’m the only one with drum machines so I have to figure out how to program this stuff pretty quickly. It’s not one of the main genres I listen to other than modern stuff like perturbator. I’m not normally into retro styles of music. Should be fun though.
I’m not sure if the syntakt is really well suited for this, it sounds like it’s mostly 80’s pcm based drum machines on these records. I’ve always wanted a tr-626 or hr-16 but I’m trying to avoid buying shit I’ll only use for 2 months.
I guess it’s not ideal for that kind of sound, but I think you can get some way with the SD and BD Acoustic. They both contain a PCM attack sample, and you can use the EQ (track filter) for further refinement.
I used the pair of them for something similar that I posted in this thread some time ago, but it might have been more in the disco vein. Let’s see if I can find it…
Edit: Here it is, a Lindstrøm-inspired track. This is unprocessed Syntakt audio.
Good track! I’ll try this out.
More banging Syntakt techno. With SY Swarm this time and a solid case for why FM-ing everything all the time is a good idea ![]()
Staunch sound! FM is awesome ![]()
