Ooh that’s a good suggestion. I will implement that. Added to my list!
Well, thanks in advance. Lovely
we are living in GREAT TIMES!!!
Soon I will be joining the club
Had mine for sale but needed it back to change the battery so must give this a blast, good timing
Grid mode, sticky shift, quantised stutter, changing row colour, and in key keyboard mode, are all things I wished for since owning the Deluge, and boy do they improve things. New functions are less important than QOL improvements IMHO, so great to see these improvements implemented.
I was a little concerned that OSing the firmware would end up being a mess of yet more added new features, but it is really great to see that my concern was unfounded. Fantastic.
Wanted to post this because my previous “comprehensive” video on the grid mode went into advanced features. Here is a MUCH more basic view so you can see how grid mode can be used from scratch! Only recommended for beginners or those interested. (NOTE: I overcompensated on lighting by mistake on this video, but I recorded this way late night so had to just post it)
All of this is just amazing. Thank you everyone for the great contributions to the evolution of the Deluge!!!
I like all of Easy Tiger’s Deluge videos - the dude makes some great music, and has some top ideas and workflows.
Ooooo now I get it … grid mode. That is powerful.
Yep, Easy Tiger is a beast on Deluge. Also very nice guy. He has some wast library of Deluge related videos. I really dig this track
But who really turned me on to buy Deluge was LUSS and his dub performances like this one.
I´ve tried it yesterday and it´s awesome! Way easier to use and the possibility to record the performance into the song mode is ace!!! Thanks for your video!
Oh, I forgot: I´ve found out, that the new granular FX can be used as a live effect for external instruments! That is fantastic.
Has anyone spotted a way to change between tracks/patterns without going back to grid/rows mode? I get lost when I switch back and forth and thought maybe there’s a shortcut to flip through tracks without exiting clip mode…
as far as I know there is no way to change clips from a clip view. You can switch from different automation parameters in new automation view, turning select knob. That’s all.
Recommend to consider using the color option to keep things organized, pay attention to section color to help
I like your idea of setting green or blue to default as I keep getting confused about the state I’m in (and gold knobs don’t work in green mode)
Here is the automation teaser video for deluge. I am working on a deep dive video it is a must see >>
deep dive video eventually stay tuned
So is the main Synthstrom guy still developing the FW anymore?
Or will new or future Deluges come with the open source FW pre-installed?
