Synthstrom Audible Deluge [inc. Open Source development]

I don’t know if it’s just me but the compressor sounds better than it did a few months ago?

But man… it really helps glue the deluge together. I’m honestly questioning why I ever thought the deluge sounded mediocre in the past lol lol. But the master compressor really do take it to a new level.

I know you keep trying to convince yourself @circuitghost but the deluge is in such an amazing spot right now

Haha no not just yet  discovering the new 1010’Music Razzmatazz firmware, which introduced resampling, automation and clips and loop launches from all sample slots.

So I’m busy getting down with that :cowboy_hat_face:

I love the automation view.

What is it exactly?

I am gassing for a Deluge and specifically with a mind to creating songs/arrangements.

Automation view allows you to see a parameters setting per step on a vertical graph, rather then having to hold down a note to see what that parameter is set at. You can also interpolate between one point or another. So say you want a smooth filter sweep across a four bar pattern. Hold down two different points and it’ll gradually change that parameter across that many bars.

@RonCavagnaro has a video on it if my description is too abstract, it’s within the first two minutes he talks about it

Beat me to it by 3 minutes

EDIT: OMG those features are amazing

Hey guys!!! These are important so if you are interested in deluge, or own one you probably should watch these!

Reading off changelist (so you don’t have to)

MANY more coming - stay tuned thanks everyone!

@RonCavagnaro Was hoping you’d do a grid deep dive, look forward to watching this tonight!

Edit: I watched your first new community firmware video last night when you gave a quick overview, great stuff - the only thing was pad lights were not showing up that well on my TV, not sure if much can be done about it due to the way some cameras can be affected by LEDs but thought I’d mention it in case, as some of your older videos the lights were clearer.

for real! I’ve been watching the community fw and had a RC before I sold my Deluge … but seeing all these changes laid out so succinctly really drives the point home ~ an amazing job by all the developers and testers in the community

Hey thanks yeah it looked fine at first but on my TV it looked a bit washed, but on phone it looks great. I will have to fix that, was noticed but I crammed these videos in the weekend I barely made it! More to come!

Cheers Ron, did not want to seem like I was complaining.

Been a subscriber of yours for a while now, so thanks for making such nicely executed and concise, clear and easy to follow tutorials.

The community firmware 1.0 is absolutely incredible.

Synthstrom going open source with this is and will be such a blessing for every deluge user

one question though: the release notes on the github page state:

" You can now scroll through parameter values and menus faster by +/- 5 by holding SHIFT while turning the SELECT encoder. "

That doens´t seem to work for me. Is it a me problem or did any of you folks experience the same inconvenience?

The communitiy firmware is awesome! There are so many new features … the work and knowledge of the community is brilliant! Many thanks to all, who made my favorite groovebox even better. :star_struck:

Yes it should definitely be working.

What it means is that when you are in the menu for editing a parameters value (eg shift + LPF cut off shortcut), shift + turning select will allow you to move from 0-50 and vice versa much quicker.

You´re indeed correct - this works fine.

I was under the impression you could browse through samples or presets faster, which isn´t the case as of yet…
