it’s £87 on gear4music, cheaper than Thomann
Yeah it’s the cheapest one so far. I meant Thomann price is considerably lower than the U-he website price as well.
It was $69-75 last BF, I wonder why did they change their approach to sales.
probably to keep consistent sales throughout the year and stop so many people waiting for one day
u-he are so good - well worth it at full price tbh
i got satin last BF. i’ll grab hive 2 for sure i still don’t have a soft synth i actually like that much after many years.
Just had an email from Beatsurfing with news of a massive update for Random.
- ADSR Envelope: A classic ADSR envelope.
- MIDI Mapping: Map any parameter with a right click or via the settings menu.
- The “Matter”: Now automatable.
- Pitch Glide: With separate Glide time for the rise and fall.
- New Timbre Controls: Fine-tune your sound with “color” and “presence”.
- Global Gain and Velocity Sensitivity: Dial in the perfect level and responsiveness.
- One-Shot Sample Rendering: Drag to capture your favorite sounds.
- Resizable UI: Adjust the interface to fit your needs.
- Contextual Tooltips: Get detailed information about each parameter.
- Preset Modification Marker: Easily track changes when modifying your presets.
- Matter shader available via Syphon (macOS) Spout (Windows). This allows the shader to be live streamed to another video app, which is great for VJ and streaming.
- Fixed crash on systems where msvc140.dll is missing.
- Plus, we’ve squashed some bugs for a smoother experience.
Just a public service announcement… Please look at other sites before buying anything…
I wanted to upgrade to Ozone 11 Advanced… and its $159 at NI and Izotopes website (same company)
They only offer crossgrades and not upgrades when I log in (YMMV).
I randomly goog’ed about an upgrade, and Plugin Boutique had it for $79.
Plus you got a bunch of weird freebies and tokens… but not everyone likes that site.
Just saying though… they have a bunch of offers for BlackFriday.
Its all legit too. I bought something that needed a host program I didnt want, and they refunded me the purchase. Dope
Yeah it’s definitely worth shopping around. I just noticed some things were cheaper on Thomann eg U-He Diva. If you own anything from a particular company (eg Sound Toys or Arturia) it’s worth logging into your account to see whether there there are any special upgrade deals.
Going for the Push 3 upgrade kit. Now, it makes sense.
Well worth saying this, seems there are a lot of discrepancies in deals. If you’re in the UK pay in dollars if you can as it often works out less. (Eg: on Arturia you can’t pay in £, only € or $ but $ is slightly cheaper.
This site doesn’t cover it all but it’s a good starting point to compare the sales. First question you can check here - is the BF deal a one time a year thing, or is it something done year-round?
i bought V collection X , once converted to £ it should be about £141.08 (4 x payments of £35.27)
it is converting to euro with rate of 0.834 according to santander… though currency might tweak a little as i chose payments over the next 4 months.
not entirely sure the actual difference if I’d paid 150 euro on another site…i presume its a small percentage.
UAD Signature now is only $199… They decreased the valie for pre-black friday offers.
I decided not buying them because the FX collection and a few GoodHertz ones takes me to places that I enjoy way more. The only ones I felt inclined to buy where the chamber plugins but getting ilok and UA Connect annoyance just for two plug-ins didn’t worth it for me.
But anyway. If anyone is interested getting all their native plugins for 199 feels like a steal. Maybe next year for me.
Is Random Metal good for techno sounds? I’m intrigued. The demo vids are pretty crap and there’s no demo but it sounds super interesting. They do say you can get a 14 day refund so maybe I’ll just try it…
I was the same way – this popped up on the YouTube algorithm and has a bit of a look at it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1F0w10Qtd7M
Oh, nice, thanks! I’m intrigued, I like these abstract UIs so think I’ll give it a chance
I feel Random Metal is an instant techno perc generator. An easy way to generate random grooves would be to add Sting max4live (only for ableton) device in front of Random Metal. Then some reverb and echo fx and alter the parameters on the fly to vary the groove. Add a kick and I’ve lost so many hours on this combo alone.
Where are you seeing this? Still €327 on their site…

Just got Arturia’s FX 5 suite direct from Arturia for €49 (£40), which is an incredible deal.
You likely have to own other Arturia products to qualify for it, as I’ve already got V Collection X, Pigments etc.

Nice! thanks for heads-up! wanted to get that 636 reverb and Dimension Chorus for a while anyway.
