Any chance you got some sound examples?
They get very good reviews. I bought smart limit but haven’t had a chance to try it yet
Interesting, thank you. I’ve got them to try so I’ll see how they work for me. I’ve had Neutron for years and it’s OK but I’m still looking for that mixing helping hand.
Oo, thanks, picked up OPx-4 for £30. Wondering if/hoping that it might turn my MPC into a turbo-alternadigitone
I couldn’t get the purchase to work on the inMusic site (payment kept failing with no explanation), so ended up buying it from pluginboutique instead, & got GForce Axxess thrown in for free as well.
@all friendly reminder, this thread is meant for deal listings only.
there’s another, dedicated thread to discuss said listings and their pros and cons (can’t find it right now , but if the @mods do, feel free to edit this post and link to it ).
Reason being, lots of people are tracking this thread (me included), would be good to keep the feed focussed on listings.

I actually purchased Random Metal yesterday and ended up playing around it for many hours non stop! What a joyful way of coming up with grooves and rythmic sounds. It’s cool how on each drum pad there’s a variation of the sound matter and there’s enough ways to alter either all sounds or a single sound. And joyful randomisation options. Might end up doing some midi mapping and using this live in my techno hybrid setup.
Also purchased the predessor Random but not as impressed with that. I found there’s too little control over what is going to happen.
Super annoying that stage is not included in the offer.
I alsolutely love Ozone, but never loved Neutron at all. My go to for channel strip stuff is PSP Infinistrip. No AI or machine learning stuff, but great presets to help get you on the right path.
finally
what are the best Packs for pianoteq?
Very personal but you can try them all. I went with the two most recent ones (Kawai and Bösendorfer) and the Steinway D. People seem to like the U4 to have an upright option.
Random Metal is awesome. I agree with you, I have Random as well and never quite got on with it personally. But I can tell Metal is gonna give me some good sounds. 7 Deadly Snares is super fun too if you’re someone who likes ever so slightly tweaking every single sound you use.
You can get a free JU60 Chorus Plugin by subscribing to the Sonic Academy newsletter, or it costs around 4 EUR with the current discount:
+1 on RANDOM Metal, it gives me sounds I only managed before by sample mangling field recordings of me banging on literal metal stuff
Such a joy to use as well, infinite samples fodder.
Ableton sales are up
Push is 25% off.
Buying one now
nice - time to get hive 2
edit - it’s cheaper at gear4music
It’s also cheaper on Thomann. And if you buy it from Expressive E, you get their pack with 300 MPE presets.
This sale is quite underwhelming compared to what they did last year. Which is a shame, Hive 2 is one of the few plugins I’m considering this month.
Install the demo version and you will have have access to all models as demo version (a few keys are “missing”.
What sounds good in my ears, might not be what you are looking for anyways
