The new quad complex oscillator Eurorack module ALGO from RYK looks interesting.
ADDED : Cinematic Laboratory puts this module through it’s paces in this concise informative twelve minute video. This module has a ton of power and capability.
Leave it to Error Instruments to do something like this :
Candy Cloud – White Edition
This video really builds part way through. Error Instruments gets better and better as time goes on.
They will be at SB, and this will be front and center for them.
Ableton and Bitwig, as well as FL Studio will also be at the show.
So much exciting stuff happening. Thank you @Jukka for helping to keep track of it all, makes SuperBooth season that much more fun to follow
Groc :
They will be at SB. Both Paul and John, the two founders, are making the trip from Michigan. They have shown the synth a couple times in more controlled settings, but this will be the first larger show. They are really looking for people’s reactions, as they are getting closer to locking down the hardware design, and have already made design changes based on people’s feedback. This is also a chance for them to meet up with the competition, as i noted up thread.
miniBOOTH
There is a festival before the festival, but this one is for kids !
It is this week :
Thurs 9th to Sun 12th May 2024, from 12pm to 6pm
price?
ALT will be on Kickstarter so backers get that discount. No price listed yet that i know of.
ADDED : Given that this is only a prototype, there is a question if they will have a version at SB closer to the intended final product. They will add a second filter, and expand the pin matrix to accommodate the added filter. They also will redo the case to a powder coated metal.
New versatile 5-channel Eurorack USB Sample Player from Soundforce simply called Samples II. All this in 4 HP.
Divkid does a demo video – he always gives so many musical options on how to use a module i’ve decide to link it in here. ( 30 minutes long )
199 euros
Just a question to anyone who has been. Is it a good idea to have your own set of headphones with you to try gear? Do most exhibitors even let you? Or you have to use what they have there?
Sorry, I have no idea.
From what i’ve read, a Kickstarter is starting soon (and I’m considering backing this quirky synth… )!
Most outdoor locations (tents) have speakers and some indoor lend you headphones to try out the gear.
Bring your own if you prefer since you know how they sound anyway.
…yup…u can purchase tickets also at the entrance…around 40 bux for a single day…
I thought he was talking about diseases etc transferred by headphones.
It was all of those things. In the videos I’ve always seen how noisy it gets there, and since I have skin problems specifically on my head, I would avoid using public headsets. Also, I know hy travel headset well. This brings me to another question. Do some vendors let you sample stuff? I’d bring my M8 in this case. I do understand that any gear or software not yet released is probably off the table.
Superbooth FAQ says :
Bringing gear and instruments to Superbooth is not permited.
This is probably for people who want to present stuff without paying for a booth?
It makes sense in general as it could cause some unpleasant interactions about is this really your gear… oh well, thanks, will read the faq better
