Trust me it’s even wilder to see the synthfluencers in person. Like watching caricatures or something.
I can’t compare to the original but it was really crisp for me:
The whole device is one of those things that just feels perfect in the hands in terms of weight, build and ergonomics.
Ooh. Any news on a release date and or Price? This looks like a great little interface.
That’s a wrap for me folks.
Major gas was not really for synths - intech midi controllers, @OxiInstruments everything, oberheim TEO. For me this was more a great chance to meet music and music tech community here in Berlin and connect around shared love of creativity. The conversations were the best part. It was also cool to be there for my job and speak with others on an industry level.
Also cool spotting so many synthfluencers I’ve only ever seen on YouTube - @Bobeats , trovarsi, @blushresponse, ladystarlight, and other artists I admire like Jamaica suk, to name a few.
Gaz Williams photobombed some friends as I was taking a pic of them. Haha
I think they said roughly €500, can’t remember the schedule
Uglydub live at the sea stage was ace!
For me personally Superbooth becomes more and more a nice place to meet cool old and new people and listen to good concerts by nice artists. It feels more like a music festival.
Ofcourse it’s also nice to meet the manufactures, may ask some questions. But i feel honestly a little difficult to hear/see how cool a new synth or modul really is in detail. You have to test it in your own synth enviroment.
Major Tom sequencer from Nono Modular
There is a four track ( expandable ) modular version, and a six track desktop version. This is a CV gate sequencer, with complete CV control for the front panel controls.
This is currently being fulfilled on Kickstarter, and both versions are due out for sale later this year.
Nono has been making improvements with this so don’t completely prejudge this on what it is right now.
man… we’re never gonna get Numerology v5 at this rate ![]()
Thus far, what caught your eye? I’m so far, pretty impressed with:
Shakmat - who previewed some nice modules.
Fred’s Lab - Manatee sounded real good.
4MS - MetaModule
Waiting for Rides in the Storm and Nano Module to hopefully announce new cases.
Was this actually meant to be in reply to me? Because neither of the items I mentioned is modular.
Anyway, I’m not holding myself personally accountable for finding recordings that stand out as “innovative” to your personal taste. I’ve found that to be such a subjective word, since the question of what sounds fresh rests so much on the foundation of one’s personal listening history thus far.
I will say, though, that I have a personal mission to release some solo stuff this year, as my releases to date are almost entirely from band/group contexts. Maybe you’ll find my stuff innovative, maybe you won’t, but I do make a lot of “new modern music” and I’d rather sound like myself than anybody else.
If I make something with the Ferrous, I’ll let you know. Won’t even mind if you tell me it’s trite and derivative. ![]()
Anyone peep the Erica bullfrog drum machine?! Also no videos on the verbos standalone!?
Wiggler from Sound Workshop
Mono synth with a nice performance control surface. I like the CV outs on this too.
Good video. This developer has got it together.
I wonder what the secret hidden part is ?
I remember this from an earlier version. Definitely good progress. The actual sound engine is quite minimalist.
He’s also experimenting with a thing he calls Quord.
ADDED : Video about the Quord drone synth. Product perhaps in late 2024 early 2025.
ADDED : My post on this from last year’s SB. Another design win for Electrosmith !
how much is the solo kit?
Excellent website for coverage of products at SB, from Perfect Circuit.
Dato Drum
Four part drum machine that like Dato’s previous product is designed to be played collaboratively with a partner.
Haven’t found a video, and didn’t find it on their website either.
( Three post limit. )
Go, @Jukka, go!
Two modules from Patching Panda
Etna – modular triple filter
Three analog filter phases with your choice of analog or digital control.
Punch MG – Four Channel VCA with decay
ADDED : With Punch MG the MG stands for Mute Group. This is an interesting module, listen to this video :
Schlappi is showing two new modules that exploit technologies that are made to go along with their previous module Nibbler. These are what they are calling their Logic Subsystem.
The new modules are :
BTMX + BTFLD
BTMX, Bit mix is some sort of logic based mixer.
BTFLD has some sort of wavefolding functions.
My details are sketchy on both at the moment. I am curious to learn more.
The Nibbler ( a nibble is a computer science term meaning a 4 bit object ) is a module that uses bit shift and counting that may be similar to a core technology of the Labyrinth the semi-modular from Moog conspicuously not so far being shown at SB. Here’s a video on the Nibbler if you are interested.
Anyone dropping by their booth tomorrow definitely see if they will show you their Three Body module as well.
Here’s a fourteen minute video on the Three Body from Cinematic Laboratory.

Goodnight.
Thank you papertiger.
My response wasn’t aimed at ‘you’ or your music , more to the idea of innovative instruments coming out , many launched at events like this …
