Hey everybody, got an Octatrack a few months back and have finally been getting into a workflow I enjoy. Made a beat by remixing a weird local access children’s cartoon I found. Also used a sampled drum loop and the synth is all Analog Keys. Everything was recorded direct from the Octatrack but thought it turned put pretty cool!

Released an album with my new impro-trio. Entirely recording a corona-stay-at-home session with the use of https://www.soundjack.eu/

I use the Octatrack as main FX, livesampling, together with o-coast, microfreak and Zoia.

Hi folks,

I created a bit of lofi ambient electronica using the Model:Samples, processed through the Digitech Polara and the Red Panda Particle (on the second track).
All the samples used were from the new Jogging House ‘Reel Feels’ sound-pack, which I think is great. In fact, I’m going to see how many more tracks I can squeeze out of it for a while.

Excellent stuff, @Dava! Just immense inspiration that soundpack, isn’t it?

Jumping on the Jogging House Reel Feels soundpack bandwagon also… Besides @boboter’s wonderful samples this track includes some processed A4 strings and my Kawai piano (one loop and another improvised overdubbed part). Everything (except the piano overdub) was stitched together using the Octatrack and performed live. Cinematic/orchestral ambient is the name of the game.

Lovely tunes @korpinen and @Dava. Also both really cool implementations of the sounds. Well done!

My turn! https://soundcloud.com/eranrund/quarantine-8
Some kind of… acid trance?
Recorded using Digitone, Rytm, Tb-03.
Gently processed with Analog Heat and FMR RNC.
Mixed on a Mackie 1642VLZ3, with Big Sky, TimeLine and Lexicon MX200 on AUX sends.
Most of this was purchased during the last few months to fill up the time created by not being able to leave the house or not having a reason to. It’s been a dream to have such a setup for a long time and I finally got to make it a reality

Cheers!

New Model:Samples only jam from me - need to get my mashing chops together but I’m kind of happy with the parts and the sounds - I chained three patterns here which is how I’m switching between them - could be tighter but I hope you dig it:

Some slowish soft modular techno. Ladik, Doepfer and Make Noise modules, sequenced by 0-Ctrl. Drums from BIA, TA SD808 and Plaits. Pads from a Minilogue.

Hey people:) I’m doing a live video stream at Etikett radio today at 13.00 German time. I would really appreciate if you find the time to tune in:) http://twitch.tv/etikett_radio

Jamming around a random patch with my modular

Plaits, plonk, rings and clouds. Rene and PNW seq and mod.

Doing mostly live performances lately. It’s a great way to streamline composing and to focus on the creative side without distractions like mixing.

So here’s the latest episode. 60 minutes, 12 original tracks, Warehouse style Techno, performed on the Octatrack MK2 and the Virus Ti. If you have any question I’ll be happy to answer.
Enjoy!

I got my first Elektron (and basically my first synthesizer) 5 months ago and since then I’ve really fallen into the hole of buying (mainly) and selling those precious devices. It definitely takes time learn but it brings me really great joy. Until now while recording songs and jams I’ve almost always improvised. Those two recordings are my first try at playing something longer than 5 minutes that I’ve (tried to) arrange beforehand. I recorded them with videos and the second one will go to Ned Rush’s More Kicks than Friends on Saturday so here’s a link for that as well https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y64WDva1LeY . Wasn’t happy with the leveling of the first one so I started a new project today for the second. I must say that’s as close as I’ve been until now to the sound I’m chasing. I know in a few days I’ll start hearing flaws but as of now I’m really happy with the result. Hope some of you enjoy this type of sound.
