If you ever get one, just use a software editor like a normal human.
(or grab one of these: https://www.dtronics.nl/dt-81z)
Wow. It’s like an additive synth, but… somehow they made it a reverb instead of a synth. Wild.

Some absolute madman sent me a TX81z. Y’all just made my weekend, whichever of you it was! I love this community.
Real trick is to ski up the mountain and an then the chairlift back down.
Now that’s just crazy.
I used the word “pansy” which I thought was simply synonymous with “wimp.” Evidently it’s also a homophobic slur. I was unaware of this and apologize to anyone I may have offended.
(Timestamped)
Dumb video, but at the timestamp you can hear something you usually don’t hear. The same note [at the same octave*] at different lengths of strings. You can hear how these lead to different degrees of inharmonicity (listen for the bell-like quality in the harmonics).
(*at some point the tuning skips to the next octave, that’s something else of course.)
I’ll put it here in share something, couldn’t find a right thread.
It’s a new take on piano roll with mpe, and non mpe(pitch bend) capabilities
Win/Mac/Linix
Super useful tool
277 views for this….frankly I’m impressed it got that many considering the video features a boiling in a kettle and it’s pretty much eight and a half minutes of growling.
Touch Knob Editor updated to V1.1
- optimised knob code
- moved knob code to Shared Script
- refactored all the parameter handling so that all the parameters are now stored in a secret hidden string inside the knob object
- embedding the parameter string in the knob object now allows you to ‘load’ a previously created knob back into the editor to tweak it
- i’ve moved all of my projects to Codeberg now
Read the updated README.md for instructions on how you put the knobs into your own projects as it’s changed a bit since the previous version.
Me and the missus mucking around with techno bangers on the sofa over the weekend. Ive got some kind of infection and the weather has been naff, so good time to get cosy and make noise.
