Setting up an elektron style template in ableton

I was wondering if anyone has tips or even a tutorial on how to setup an elektron style ableton preset.

I have some of fors vsts which are great. Maybe the modulation resolution can be turned down to give vsts that stepped sequencer movement.

I’ve had ableton for ages but I’m using it in the most basic way so maybe so ableton wizards know some tricks?

You could also try asking this in the main ableton thread(s). Just thinking that some people subscribe to topics but don’t always check on the list of new forum posts, so you might have an easier time getting an answer that way, or at least expand the possibility of getting the kind of answer that you’re looking for.

Good idea :+1:

Well it’s an idea, whether it’s good or not remains to be seen but good luck either way. Sounds like a fun plan if you can get it working as intended.

Can you load Renoise as a VST in ableton? I’d start with that. Using renoise and limiting your channel count to what Elektron boxes have, should be able to reproduce most of the plocking/sequencing stuff

There’s this device for the A:B Conditions functionality…

Pattern Engine can do plocks for up to 16 steps, Elektron-style. And it’s on sale!
