Very spontaneous. I was just fooling around and hit record to capture the jamming. That’s what I’m digging about the TR-1000. Pretty hands on and live
killer stuff. keep posting! damn good ![]()
You tried the saturator? No like?
I did but it’s per instrument (at least from what was happening with the buttons I was pressing). I’m looking for something to go over the whole mix. I didn’t see a Saturator in the Master FX
1176 comp is a pretty sweet effect to put on the whole mix.
Actually I tried that and YES!
I’m also looking for something to really color the sound too ![]()
Well it sure sounds amazing!
Got slight MIDI jitter on mine (TR1000 sending clock to Bitwig via midi din). With my Oxi One as master the Bitwig clock / tempo doesnt move a muscle. Early days for me as need to read up on settings. MPC has had all the attention this last week
not necessarily saturation but the SDD-320 can shape things pretty nicely going into the analog filter and drive. The EQ can give a nice smiley face boost to everything
I’m about to finally go do something else with my day and step away from the box - you can totally get lost in this thing…here’s some just FM noise ![]()
Is the FM machine winning right now?
Oh I got it. Totally different flow, but you could resample, assign the loop to a track, chop, and use the saturator. But yeah unfortunately it’s not a master effect.
Did you check out FM perc model? You directly set the note. Only gen on the 1000 that can.
For sure ![]()
Digging all the sounds in the FM category
Tonight’s drum recipe:
So can the sample player and bitcrush fx do a convincing 909/707 digital thing to samples? Like 6bit 8bit with that feel
Is this even with the update through the USB as they recommended?
The 909 and 707 hats are ACB so don’t have the same bit reduction option as samples.
However the 909 hats have an Error setting now which I think is to emulate the old DAC - whatever it sounds great!
Yeah i use usb stick. Roland actually asked for my samples and are going to recreate it. I’m pretty confident they will get this fixed quickly.
I did add a lot of long pads and things like that so I wanted to stress test the box a little. Main issue to keep in mind is that the tr1000 encodes each sample one by one so it takes a long time to import. Think 1 gig took around 40 minutes. A gig is a lot so it’s understandable but something to keep in mind.
Very good to know, thanks!
Yes I love that parameter. I was messing with that last night. ACB has really been expanded. Roland really is saying “please take these sounds and evolve them into new ones” and I think it’s great.
And check out the AMP MOD on the 8X hats.
