i would love to see an update where the soundpool could be set per note and not only on a per step basis. that would really open it up as a semi drum machine for me.

Yes I understand what youre saying, but the way in which Digitone allocates sounds/patches across tracks, which then correspond to different MIDI channels, is essentially how multitimbral synths work. Plus the ability to perform sound locks using patches, is essentially the same method that is found in the BS2 update, just applied differently. That method of having different sounds (patches) on each key was used in the AK, prior to the BS2. The DN lacks the keyboard functions to apply this within the unit itself but the basic groundwork is there, that’s why I said I imagine its possible/likely.
I hope they’ll include a lightning to 3.5 mm headphone jack adapter this time

Yea sorry not a keyboard player. If this didn’t have keyboard split options I wouldn’t get it. If it does count me in.
Yes sounds can be layered but that’s still not what I’m looking for.
@MichaalHell that’s basically it plus polyphony for synth sounds.
Edit: If that $1,899 price is legit which literally came from nowhere, not so sure then.
