Recording quality of digitakt to daw w/ various method

I currently use Logic and has no intention to switch to Live.

With the overbridge I know I can record all 8tracks on Logic by assgining seprated audio tracks for for all 8 buses of digitakt. (Mentioned on the link above)

But when I do this the audio quality of the result is somewhat not so good, low volume and distorted.

So I was wondering what’s the best way to get the high quality sound of the digitakt? Is it the overvridge live capture? or the audio output of the device?(of course you only get L+R this way) Or some other way?

The audio should be clean as a whistle. It records at a low volume to ensure that the input signal doesn’t distort; and also to provide headroom for mixing later on (you can use the Logic gain plug in to boost volume if you find it too quiet).

But…
