Rare? early Elektron promo posters spotted

Man, these posters are making me nostalgic from when I had a MnM and a MD…

I just have to remember that I sold them for a reason and I didn’t make the biggest mistakes of my life.

The illustrated ones were created by my good friend and studio-buddy @Shoontz.

the did sell Machinedrum shirts similar to that. with that logo, but not the “baseball style” contrasting sleeves. I had one in baby blue. if I remember correctly, it shrank in the wash.

What is this wizardry?

(Fun fact….I’m about to try battery modding and USB-C’ing my last one)

you can send it to me for QA but don’t blame me if it gets lost in the mail on the way bick.

If I destroy it, I don’t care. I’m getting outta this anyway.
But if I’m successful……imma need a beaker to collect the drool around here….
But 6v throws a weird thing into the mix

you’d need a kiddie pool.

It’s 6V AC which is the problem, which means you need an inverter which is usually not a small component and wouldn’t do well in a sealed enclosure because of overheating. Normally you could just step down the power with an adjustable buck converter but you need to convert the power to AC somehow, like the inverter you’d get to plug home appliances into your car.

This is assuming you’re talking about a mkI of course.

But a mk2 is 6v dc

Imma destroy a mk2uw

you’re an idiot, just sell it. :man_facepalming:

Yolo
I already sold 2. Mk1 uw and a normal mk2
No need to hoard them anymore when imma Keyser Soze
Trying to bring myself to part with this one, but fuck it……

At least there’s a psu board in it I can break 1st

make a charitable donation to my tabletop dust collection, yolo.

The collective crying will be just as satisfying as the collective oooohs
Concider it research and other might know what to do from my mistakes

6v 3A is weird.
Imma have to hope 5v is enough (don’t think it is), step up 5v, or step down 9v….
