Groovebox for hiking

Hey guys! I was wondering: What might be the best groovebox for hiking? Weight and size are probably the most important factors. Im pretty sure the OP1 field(?) would make the race by now. But too fancy for me and too epensive. Digitone is probably the winner, but heavy 1,5kg pretty big. What do you think?

Traveling synth/groovebox/standalone portable suggestion

Take some synth and you’ll probably come back with stuff that sounds like you were sitting in your bedroom. If instead you do things that you could only do there, and really listen, or really participate, or really watch, or really travel, you might come back with ideas for things you wouldn’t have ever made otherwise. But yeah feeling the field recorder or just use voice memos or your phone camera.

Beach Holiday gear

So I’ve agreed to a week long beach holiday in a hot foreign land. It will be nice but after a few days of slowing turning red, my mind will turn to Synths… I can’t take my Digitone, A4 or MPC. I might be able to bring my Model:Samples but I struggle to see the lights in bright sunshine. I have a PO-20 Arcade pocket operator, but it’s not so flexible so I’m considering a PO-32 Tonic. Why is the op-1 seemingly the only thing in its category?

honestly the op-1 in concept is rad but it can definitely be argued that its limitations are rife and its build is questionable. i’m not really looking for people to tell me how great it is before we get to that, but with its popularity why is it the only thing in its format? its not exactly a new device. id love to see a better op-1 or even an op-1 style midi keyboard would be sweet. just wondering if anything else even exists in this area.
