Polyend Tracker

Excited to say I ordered one of these!

So I did a 180 and went back to my roots here. Basically sampled myself and cut up this chord progression and challenged myself and the Tracker to squeeze as much out of it as I could. Project/sample memory was at 95%. I wanted to add some more percussion but, no dice. This ended up sounding like a Weezer outtake/b-side to me. I don’t know. I like the drums the best. The lead guitar in the outro sounds very lofi because I had to import it using the low quality setting to get it to fit. It’s got a groove I think.

Sounds great ! Highly adept programming

Hi there everyone ! I had a new video going online yesterday and even tho it is not really about the Tracker, I use it to control my modular rig in it. Some might be interested so here it is:

Hey man! Thanks for all your great stuff!
I bought a tracker because of you! It just came in the mail half an hour ago and just realized you make it look a lot easier than it is ^^

Looking forward to countless of hours exploring this machine and having fun with it.

Hahahaha sorry about that ! Yes you must take into account I got this thing way before it was available so I had time to practice (plus i’m a massive geek that like to read manuals)

I’m not complaining, to the contrary

Currently also going through the manual, luckily it’s not as dense and thick as the OT one.

I made this one using short sliced loops from electronic drums, bass and guitar.

Not my cup of tea in terms of I don’t tend to listen to that kind of music generally, but I’d never think that this was made using a tracker if I heard it in a different context, and I think that is great, well done man. It does remind me a bit of Weezer too.

Not sure if anyone has seen it, but polyend have mentioned delays to the release of the AE vinyls. Pushed back to Jan 2022

Meant in the best way but this is the most non tracker tracker tune I’ve heard to date. Nice stuff!

I love this! Reminds me a little of the Grateful Dead. That’s a good thing. Keep it up!

I didn’t see that but, good to know. I emailed them at one point just asking how they were going to get the records to AE owners. They said they were working on something where you could sign up (maybe serial numbers or something?).

By the way, the sample pack you made that was included on my Tracker has some really useful stuff. I appreciate it. You’re getting really prolific with the videos too. Good stuff.

Thank you!
It’s fun to use those retrigger fx on my live played drums. I always do this stuff on the Octatrack and I wanted to do the same on the Tracker.
Originally this was a longer live take of the song, which I stripped down to the bare minimum and resequenced it with the Tracker. It tightens up nicely that way, but it lost some fidelity (or width) due to the mono conversion.

Thank you very much. I’m not too familiar with The grateful dead. Going to have a listen tonight :+1:

Stick with around 1968-1974 live stuff. Start off small. The most recorded band in history so it’s easy to get lost. Anyway, love what you’re doing with the Tracker. Personally, I want to make much weirder music than I’m making now but I wanted to do an exercise where I made it sound like a band. I think yours sounds even more like a live band.

Are there any PE tracker teardowns online? Has anyone opened theirs up and has a pic of the plain PCB?
Are there differences between the the different makes? I have an MKI.

I’m playing with the idea of replacing the LEDs under the pads, just for fun. I am fully aware that it will void any guarantee/warranty.

This is on a mk1…

I have a few more pics but this is the only one that shows the pcb for the pads…. No clue if there’s any differences on the mk2 or mk3.
