Yeah I think it is a complete lock up, I had it once before when re-inserting the SD card after removing it, due to the pretty loud tone I did not want to wait to see if it resolved on its own, but I suspect it would not have anyway.
How would this thing work as a pure sound module/granular synth where something like the digitakt sequences this thing. i didnāt find many information about this in the manual
It has cool granular capabilities - but itās far from being a granular synth. It does loss of other stuff - but if a granular synth is what you want, a granular synth you should probably get!
Also not using the sequencer aspect of the tracker is kind of missing the point of the device really. To me the sound engine is ok, itās the sequencer that brings it to life
If you want something that works well as a second sound source alongside the digitakt, thatās what Iām investigatingā¦ Seems to be a jolly good pairing
Check out Stazma on Youtube, he has some really great tutorials on how to use it as a granular synth (among others).
Though as @Boxymusic has pointed out, youāre probably looking at the Tracker for the wrong things. Canāt tell you from my own experience (yet), mine is still in the mail.

I had this exact same thing once or twice. Same unit too ofc (and my previous one), but I was running the stable v3.1 at time. Itās definitely a bug they havenāt got to or even know about. I always moved very slowly through the mod pages after that and it didnāt seem to happen to me again.
It definitely does the job in this regard. I used it as an 8-voice polysynth just like you describe, either with granular, wavetable or very short loops to create textured synth sounds. As @Boxymusic says tho, if itās purely granular that you want, go for Tasty Chips GR-1! Tracker is one grain per voice.
No the size is the same, but the old dimensions were wrong.

just watched a review of the gr-1 one. looks good but almost double the price of the polyend tracker. the polyend tracker seems like a good package for its price point. i currently donāt know a competing basic 8-voice granular synth for under 500 ā¬

I find it kind of hilarious polyend had the dimensions completely off in their own website. I wonder if an early prototype was larger.
I hear you. Iāve looked at GR-1 so many times over the last few years but it is flawed in a few ways, such as getting samples onto the thing in the first place! With Tracker, thatās easy. Also, I gotta say, once playing more than one note simultaneously, having less grains helps not create an absolute mess haha. Plus donāt forget the excellent scale modes and perfectly playable pads of the Tracker for getting harmonic / melodic ideas down fast.
Little feature on the Polyend website. Pretty cool that theyāre doing this sort of thing.

Thanks! Lots of talented folks on this forum for sure. The stuff some of these people get out of their Elektron boxes is amazing. I asked Polyend if they would be interested in having an official forum and they said they were just gonna stick to the blog for now. I think itās a cool idea and theyāre very receptive as far as putting new people on there.
