Polyend Tracker

I have (had I should say) a pair of AIAIAI headphones made out of that material and they got so gross I had to throw them away. I won’t be buying any more of those.

I have been using the Analog Cases Unison Maschine mk3 case with some foam i had lying around tucked into the pocket in the lid. My battery and a USB cable fit in there too, but it took a bit of half-asses macguyvering on my part.

I just emailed Analog Cases this morning to ask about whether they will be making a case for the Tracker. I love their products.

There are a ton of cases with the pick-out foam on Amazon too. Hard road case-type boxes that are like $30. But yeah, the polyend case specifically protects that wheel. That’s the appeal.

Apparently the buttons have different “feels.”

Mine are rounded and I love how they feel. Just the right kind of clacky, but without the… oddness of the Digi buttons. The latter had a strange float to them and were super loud.

I am not a huge fan of the silicon pads. I wonder if we will have another teapot tempest when they change those.

Rats! Always the bridesmaid

The silicon pads are ok for performance mode, selecting instruments, patterns etc, but yeah recording in realtime on them is a bit hit and miss.

The PT fits really tight in the Polyend case. At least on mine it’s not a "slide in and slide out” affair. You have to work it a little bit. That’s great in that it makes it feel really secure and protected on the road. Not so great for pulling in and out multiple times a day. :frowning:

In addition:
MK1 and AE: Charge from USB-A only. Moderate “pop” on master when powering on or off.
MK2: Charge from USB-A or -C. No “pop” over master.
MK3: Unknown.

The coating is like the MPC Live. Maybe somewhat smoother. I cannot imagine anyone liking it, especially compared to the metal case.

Yeah it really is a snug fit, I worry about the memory card sometimes although I’ve not experienced any adverse affects ever.
I was lucky enough to get the official case as an early adopter, really pleased as it really is solid…
Bit pricey but then the decksavers etc are too so it would depend on the individual user.

Expecting one on Sunday if you can wait that long to hear impressions.

I planned on giving that link 7 seconds and a snarky laugh but ended up listening riveted from start to finish… I’m so confused…did I actually like that?

Do you guys make use of the space effect on the master?

Only when jamming. It sounds good but I’m too afraid of what it’s doing under the hood to use it on important sounds

Pretty much all the time. I usually build my songs/ideas up without it then dial it up to 3-6 depending on what sounds good to me.

No idea what it’s doing under the hood but I like what it does to my ears.

to me as well.
Just feels a but strange to put something on the master where I‘m not sure what‘s really happening… :upside_down_face:
seems to apply some reverb and widening stereo somehow
