Polyend Tracker

I thought this was a feature of most audio equipment with a right/left input. Right input only for mono to left/right output.

I picked up the Polyend Tracker on a whim because someone was selling it for a great price used, and because I’m always curious about grooveboxes. I didn’t expect to like it so much, but holy moly is this thing ever amazing.

I love the tracker and just bought mine also. I have a problem where every 1/2 to1/3 of the time I turn it on, the screen does not boot up normally, just looks like a blank screen with some vertical lines and hitting the buttons just makes the lines move around…so I have to turn it off and on 2-3 times for it to book up normally with the P screen…so annoying.

Honestly one of the best tracker vids hands down.
No wonder it comes from Jay.

Beautiful music as always.

I would maybe look into this. Sounds defective to me.

I just downloaded the latest beta so will try that. I just had to return a Pioneer djs-1000 as one of the encoders was non functional.

Getting tired of hardware issues.

iam grabbing the PT again in may this year.
that should be a big step up from a weeks ago.

I thought iam fine but I really miss the tempo breaks and retrig character of the tracker…

can I be patient until may? :cowboy_hat_face:

I’ve had the tracker quite a few months now across a bunch of firmwares and have never seen anything like this. I’d consider returning it if that’s possible. How are you powering it?

i recently bought this one, has a padded inside and doesn’t feel cheap at all. it fits the tracker spot on. plus powerbank, all cables, piezo-mic and in-ear hps go in the outer bag. was 10 euros or so with a promotion. https://tinyurl.com/yyk3s5bw

Have a surge protector with USB ports and have it plugged into their. I will try with the AC head tonight but I read that you can run it off power bricks without the AC head so you’d think using a surge protector that is plugged into AC would be more than enough compared to a portable power brick. I love the thing…so it’s more frustrating.

When you have it on…try reinstalling firm?

I updated the firmware to 1.3 and it still had the issue. I updated it to 1.3.whatever the new beta is and still has the issue…I will try with the power brick tonight and maybe a full reinstall. Sweetwater will switch it out, I just dont want to be without one for a few weeks!

have you tried plugging the USB into your computer?
not the most ā€œtechā€ suggestion…just spit ballin. or a proper powered USB hub?

It’s not the source of power I’d be worried about. It’s how it gets delivered over usb. I have a lot of early USB-C devices that can be pretty picky about things that shouldn’t matter, like the cable used or brand of adapter. Maybe try with the cable and plug that shipped with it?

any polyend tracker & octatrack midi sync videos?
