Polyend Tracker

Hello :wave:t2:

Downtempo trip-hop made on the tracker. Based around a beautiful sample I found.

Be safe.

Wow, that was fantastic man. I got some big Thom Yorke vibes, although I don’t mean to take anything away from you as you are clearly a talented song writer. Also I’m rather curious as to your vocal mic…is it an RE 20 by any chance?

Hey there everyone ! Here is my last ā€œfriday jamā€ session, I used the Tracker as the main sequencer for this one. The new latency compensation fix worked great to get it right in time with the Yocto (the 808 clone) wich a bit of a nightmare before, happy they managed to get this working finaly !

It’s been really inspiring watching and being part of the early wave of a really fucking cool new instrument, as the tracker gets into people’s hands. I’m enjoying just sampling and granulising shit, time stretching field recordings, breaks, the fm radio…it’s been said by nearly everyone, but this thing becomes such a revelation when you click with the UI.

I’m yet to pair it with anything so far, but I feel like it’s going to work well sequencing my modular so I can free up my OT for more than just drums and midi controlling cv. I’m hoping I can just set and forget a bunch of flex recorders for incoming modular for some new flavour. I’m working on 2 separate musical projects, both as a duo with both electronic and acoustic instruments and then also my own solo work. I’ve just released a debut with a label at the end of last year, so was hoping for a clearer schedule and more focus in order to get these other 2 projects off the ground before getting started in a follow up…but the tracker is guiding me squarely back towards my own stuff.

Ha, similar situation. Just finished an ep with a label as well, came out last weekend. Just digitone on it pretty much, now I ordered the polyend tracker, I want have a broader palette for my next ep or whatever.

At this moment you can set 1 tempo(Txxx) per pattern. It would be great if we can have Tempo per track. Example : set T100 for track 1 and T50 for track 2

That’s a great suggestion

Really good stuff. Especially like the quick but very appropriate shifts in pacing. Start off slow and lull us into ambience, then BAM hit the gas and we’re off! All tracks are good but last one’s my fav, after listening twice now.

Thanks so much dude! It means alot. Love your description. New age spa like tones and then all hell breaks loose. You got anything I can listen to?

Yeah, and it really works too, cause first I was like, ā€œOk, I can appreciate this, it’s the soft side of the Digitone.ā€ Then ā€œWhoa, what just happened?ā€ But it doesn’t turn all I’m So Glitchy Look At My Producer Moves Which Will Impress You But Track Won’t Stick With You Cause It’s Just Too Much (looking at you, Richard Devine), but rather it’s equally enjoyable in it’s fast paced mode.

I’m not sure if this comparison will offend you or not, it’s certainly not meant to, but I was on a Manu Chao concert years ago, and he pulled that trick for 2 hours straight. Worked every single time. First, it’s like soft, laid back dub style stuff, the it’s all into ska, touching 150bpm, super intense. Then back to soft again, but both sides very appealing and very much intertwined into each other. You certainly pulled that one off. I hit the Purchase button, your EP’s easily worth it.

If we’re sharing, I don’t mind showing you this - but it’s off topic, I suppose, and I really don’t expect you to return the favour, I enjoyed your stuff because I enjoyed it, and I’m telling you that not for any other reason than when someone does a thing well, a fella should let another fella know.

Anyway -

Hey, I just finished listening. This was very beautiful and calming. The title track was my favourite. This little gem of an album could be the cure for my insomnia. Really great work! My wife was in the room and she asked who this was, she was really into it as well.

Again, thanks for listening and purchasing. Glad you enjoy it.

Excited to see what the polyend tracker will bring to the table.

Thank you

I actually work with sleep, and part of my job is to help people to better sleep, so it’s interesting that came across, somehow. Wasn’t intentional, but perhaps subconsciously, it’s in there somewhere.

Give my best to your wife and take care now. Thanks for listening.

Hello guys.

Is it possible to stop the view from scrolling without going into record mode? So that the playhead/cursor always remains in the same position unless I manually change it.

Second: Is it possible to adjust the lines per beat? To 12 instead of 2, 4, 8?
To program in triplets.
In trackers I always work with 12 lines/steps per beat with a pattern length of 48 or 96 steps

@harmonyinultra :wave:t4: fellow insomniac person who suffers from insomnia who also found @circuitghost’s album calming. Insomnia got me into electronic music in lots of ways :black_heart:

@circuitghost At the risk of sounding a bit crazy, hearing about your line of work is a ā€œa-ha, of courseā€ moment for me. It really lines up with your kind, thoughtful presence here on the forum

And so this Tracker thing… I can use it to, um, track my sleep then?

Edited: labels are important. Insomnia is a damn battle. Apologies if the post came off as insensitive at all

How about that  thank you  if my stuff helped you find some comfort, I’m very happy to hear it did.

Sleep tracking’s part of my gig, as it were  but the compassionate side of it, to make something of the numbers and help people to better sleep, that’s the part I play.
