You can try it with the new 2.0.14 B , for me only 2.0.9.16B is working with midi over usb and audio. With digiton. on Mojave 10.14.1 and 10.14.4
But i think i’ve read the feedbacks i’m the only lonely one with this problems. So best is you try it out and take your time.
were as 2.0.12.2 beta solved my latancy isseus this version 2.0.14 beta brings back all the bad stuf, unusable !!
Once again major stress on the wds01000.sys driver when switching either the digitakt, digitone or rytm II in overbridgemode, even without using them in ableton…
I can’t seem to send any MIDI CC data (e.g. pitch bend, mod wheel) to the Digitone through Overbridge in Ableton when playing clips or controlling the track w/ external MIDI controllers. Anyone else experiencing this?
New here and maybe I’m incredibly dense but I’m trying to get patterns from Digitone to Ableton as individual tracks and its just not happening. Not even master sound of all tracks is recording. Anyone that can point me to a video tutorial or want to make one?
I’m having the same problem, even when i’m not using the VST or the overbridge. since i’ve installed the overbridge it’s caused alot of dropouts and clicks in ableton and the only solution is to turn off the digitone entirely…?
Did you get anywhere with this or get any feedback or acknowledgement, i’m wondering if it has been reported yet or is fixable - maybe needs an official report
I’m fairly frustrated by this too as it’s breaking a shellscript i have that uses system audio cues (via afplay) and the whole activity does not involve OB
I’ve already had to go into a launchagent file just to stop the overbridge engine from automatically loading, i don’t want it running every time the mac starts - in my book that is really bad form, it’s not particularly trivial to remedy for the uninitiated, but the way to handle it as a developer is easy - give the user the choice via login items etc or have the process warn that the engine isn’t started and start it - this seems robust enough and takes no time
But i guess it’s another thing altogether when software is derailing core processes when you have no need to use or even start that software at that time
Interestingly the script flies within HS without any warning, but halts the script totally on Mojave - i’m needing to look for a simple workaround avoiding using afplay which is not ideal
so this is the error message about unsigned code
2019-05-11 10:38:50.112 afplay[501:63510] Error loading /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL/ElektronOverbridge.plugin/Contents/MacOS/ElektronOverbridge: dlopen(/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL/ElektronOverbridge.plugin/Contents/MacOS/ElektronOverbridge, 0x0106): code signature in (/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL/ElektronOverbridge.plugin/Contents/MacOS/ElektronOverbridge) not valid for use in process: mapped file has no cdhash, completely unsigned? edit : fixed the script for the better, but the afplay issue still stands
Digitakt 1.11B6 Overbridge 2.0.12.4 Mojave.
If I create a series of patterns (and run them with pattern chaining) with the Mac linked to the DT USB (but no app running) - and then start the DT standalone I get ‘other’ sounds appearing during playback. If I then quit the DT standalone - things go back to normal. Repeatable. Not sure why this is happening but it’s a bug.
I’ve found a bug on Logic Audio Pro x 10.4.4 with Digitakt and Digitone. If you record a midi automation it does glitches on both of them but if I don’t record the midi automation and just play with it live it’s fine. Only as soon as you record in Midi it’s dead. I’ve tried on Live 10.1 beta and it works perfectly same with last version of Reason. So the only one Daw with this trouble is logic. Last version of Mojave and iMac 2019 I9 with 64 gigas ram. You can check a simple pattern that I recorded today.https://eu5.dh-cdn.net/uploads/db8181/original/3X/0/9/09832ca9b2050a9dd3e745c0b8b0ab3a21e85d94.mov
I have a problem with hanging MIDI Tones in Digitone. Using 2:0.14 Beta with Firmware 1.20, macOS 10.14.4, Ableton Live 10.1
Im Sequencing Digitone via the Overbridge VST Plugin with Ableton. Just playing a plain monophonic midi sequence. Sometimes, Digitone doesnt catch the Note off, so the tone keeps constantly playing until a new midinote is catching up. This occurs as soon as Im sending MIDI-Notes to 3 tracks. Changing the voice allocation to each track doesnt help.
The plugins are working as long as you send the correct channel to them. Live remaps channels on midi received from an external source to the plugins so you need to route the midi from another track to stop it doing this:
