Standard behaviour of transfer for mono players (OG DT, M:S). It has always picked one channel. (Can’t remember if its left or right).

Thanks for the kind words! On start/endpoints - nope, they’re strictly as-loaded. You could pseudo-endpoint sample layer 1 with decay, and I guess you could always set a choke to strategically cut a sample off OR set a trig on that track to play a different/empty sound to end whenever you want, or send a trig of the same sample with amp p-locked to 0. There are some workarounds if you get creative. It’s a bit rudimentary in some ways, and I look at it as “just” a bonus feature, but I suspect that’s because the real sample duty should be left to the sampling heavyweights in the line-up haha.

idk but I find the small sample buffer sample-tricks so inspiring, the way its reacting as an 8 voice poly with mpe input but in Elektrons YT there’s been some drumnbass action and it is also really md like.

If we all become really annoying and bug elektron nonstop to add a sample player to the Digitone II, I have faith that it could happen (I’m joking, but I’m also putting this here to try and manifest it into reality, because I’m not totally joking)

The Balance icon/animation in the @DaveMech video is different than the others who have a Crossfader icon. Is it something you can choose in the Personalize menu or it’s a part of an older beta version?
I’m curious what kind of selection of samples you guys are uploading to make the most of the 64 sample slots

the OS was a manifestation into believing that the things I liked about rytm over the years can be found in a box that resembles a MD more then a rytm but the actual mk2 rytm profile is a bit stumbling, slewish and at a certain point the main beat is set and even tho with plocks it’s a vibe killer to set up scenes/perf pads, and forgetting about which perf did what and things like that.
if you use the analog voices as a synth on rytm you’ll basically end up using samples anyways and mostly floating to select the right sample, using the analog hats and a tom as a bass-drum its more like–that doesn’t feel right.
the in-between workflow tweaks are a mileage in difference to the rytm way of doing things and the op-xy basically taught me to use one Elektron which i think is a legacy silver-box and I’ll treat it like my first MD. it came to me and it’s a good time to reset, I’ve been waiting for things to happen but I think Elektron is right by saying there’s no way to put anymore things into the architecture and I’ve been to nostalgic
