Update: OctaEdit v1.7.800 OSX Beta and Demo Versions

Everyone’s favourite module is back once again.

Whats New?

Manager Module

  • Added [ Samples Only ] Element: Copy Samples and Settings between Sets and Projects; without copying any data.

  • Added [ Samples ] option. Samples are copied when enabled, else ignored.

Important:

  • The previous [ Copy Samples Only ] option has been depreciated, and has been superseded by the [ Samples ] option and the [ Samples Only ] element.

  • When the [ Samples ] option is turned off, the Manager module will ignore any Relationships that have been created; and will not copy Samples.

  • The [ Samples Only ] element allows the ability to only copy Samples, ignoring any Elements / Data.

Notes:

This is a restricted beta, primarily testing:

  • New Set/Project Loading/Saving
  • Project Module
  • Sequencer Module
  • Arranger Module
  • Manager Module
  • Arp Designer Module
  • LFO Designer
  • Library Module
  • Analytics Module
  • Options Module
  • Support Module

Compatibility:

  • OSX 10.9 and above only
  • Octatrack MkI & MkII
  • Octatrack OSv1.40 and above only
  • Saving functionality has been enabled

This is an OSX only release. ( OctaEdit v1.7.800 Beta and OctaEdit v1.7.800 Demo )

Windows building is a slightly separate process.

Just bought OctaEdit, mostly to have a nosey with the beta for now, but hit a snag on installation. It’s asking for a serial, but I don’t seem to have one, and I can move forward without it…

Yes; but as above my advice now is to wait for the official release of OctaEdit v2; as I am in the middle of testing / OSv1.40 updating.

Don’t know exactly when eta will be, as essentially just me doing the testing.

OctaEdit v1.7.900 OSX Beta and Demo Versions Expired

If you get an “Error Occurred [ 7 ]” when you try to launch OctaEdit.

This is nothing to do with you, version v1.7.900 expired on Monday.

I have to push an updated release out soon.

A whole bunch of stuff; bug fixes, tweaks, enhancements and a lot of work around UI/UX/resizing
