Missed opportunity to name the thread part 3.0 though.

Dammit, I missed the rollover.

At least I got to see the miles on my car hit 66,666.66 this year already.

MPC Part 3.0!

I’d like to express my appreciation for the Elektronaut MPC community that’s built up here.
The shared knowledge, creativity, and support here have been invaluable to my personal MPC journey over the last few years, and I’m truly grateful for that. :+1:

Hi, sorry for this basic question but a search didn’t turn anything up…
Just got an OG MPC One. How do I make sure everything writes to my SD card and not the internal storage? Thanks.

What do you mean? YOU should simply write to the SD card and not the internal storage yourself, or is this not what you mean?

There were more than 200 comments over 10k. So much for “automatic”

I see, I didn’t know if there was a default location for sampling and such but from what you say, I just choose to write to SD when saving.

For saving projects, you can easily access the SD card by setting up shortcuts at the top of the browser screen. For plugins, you can set the save location to the SD card in the Prefs > Activations screen.

The only other thread on this forum that has gone into a Part 3 is:

What’s your latest purchase & what are your intentions with it? [pics ftw] (Part 3)

And that’s a thread that’s for any piece of gear - the sum of all things discussed on Elektronauts.

This says something about the popularity of the MPC line.

Yes, as compared to any other non-Elektron devices (which each have their own entire subforms with many threads devoted to each), and maybe also attests to the confusion or frustration! I am not dissing on the MPC. I have an MPC One, and while I don’t love it, I still think it is arguably the best value for an all around groove box for anyone interested in getting started. Very low entrance fee (in terms of cost and learning).

I don’t even have an MPC right now, but I just wanna get this comment in so I could be towards the top of this fresh new thread, and feel important. Lucky #13.

Honestly, it was pretty astounding seeing just how many posts 3.0 brought to the Part 2 thread. The hype (and everything that comes with it) is real.

Just wait until the new hardware  Throw a battery and a small speaker in the One…
(No I don’t know anything!)

I finally decided to apply for beta 3.0. Notice they have an update from MPC Studio Software Manager to InMusic Software Center 4. It would be nice if the “4” stood for “you now get 4 installs of the software you buy from us.”

@captain8 I always appreciate how willing and able you are to find videos and other resources to link people about the MPC workflow.

Don’t shoot the messenger, but I was told in a group chat it will be by August. It’s 31st now. Well, at least here. So, can we get on with the program? It’s a beta. It’s not gonna be perfect. We get that. But at least let us get our hands on it and let us mess around with it. :innocent:

I know the feeling, waiting on help for music is like waiting for something to eat when you’re hungry😁
