Korg Wavestate

Found some Amen sounding drum hits inside the Wavestate! They’re labeled Jungle. Here’s an idm type thing!

You’ve put the WS firmly back on my wants list. In fact it’s the only thing on my wants list.

It is a fun synth, definitely one of my favorites.

Wavestation EX was my 1st ever synth, back in 93.

Full circle for me when I get one in the New Year. Very excited about that.

I just received similar warnings from Line 6 and Elektron. We need to form a whole team to help these companies with Big Sur, lol.

Love it!

Wavestate continues to be on my radar because of the randomization, Wave Sequencing 2.0 features, etc.

Yeah and the possibility of firmware updates! :star_struck:

Your tracks have me thinking of using a Wavestate for exploring rhythmic ideas. I think I could come up with something not too far off from this piece, which was composed with a graphical score that was created by the Decalcomania technique.

Yes making something like that is totally possible. I just make stuff more like this…

I skipped around this tutorial instead of watching straight through. I didn’t need to see every excruciating detail of auditioning samples for snare, kick, etc. duties, but I think I got enough out of it to continue to be intrigued by the rhythm programming possiblities

Korg Wavestate music video. I’m sending the Wavestate 4 bar chords, muting and unmuting tracks. It’s all one live Performance no editing or multitrack.

The cool thing that’s happening (imho) is that the drum line is only 2 layers: layer of hats, then the other layer is a simple 2 step kick snare pattern, using the shape lane to chop up the volume to get a more generative sequence.

Enjoy

Some UK stores currently selling the Wavestate for £499. (GuitarGuitar, PMT)

Korg Wavestate and Stutter Edit 2 live idm in the studio! Some people have been asking how the Wavestate works, so I’m attempting to give a small demonstration, without speaking.

All Ableton is doing is sending random chords to the Wavestate, and randomly muting layers by decreasing the volume on each track using cc 7! Everything else is internally sequenced. Stutter Edit 2 is on the main bus adding extra glitch! Bpm is 198.
