Yeah just been looking, nice price. I haven’t read much on the specs but I see it has 4 layers. How many OSCS per layer do you know ?
It has one oscillator per layer, however, it’s all sample based. So you can have an oscillator morph from one sample into another, but it’s still one oscillator.
Here’s Cuckoo’s helpful video:
Sounds nice. Just watching the Loopop video now, £499 is a good price I’m thinking about this one
Yeah, I jumped on that. It arrived today.
I’m tempted. I got a new job yesterday and thought I’d make a cheeky purchase. Need to be sensible for the time being though.
I just took delivery, and they included only the one adapter below without extra adapters:
I realize there may be regional issues, but normally a wall wart with removable adapters includes a set of adapters. Do you think this is a mistake the vendor should remedy? I have tons of removable adapters, but none in this style.
£499 at PMT with an additional 10% off for Black Friday by the looks (eeeek)
God almighty lord…
I am tempted…
Issue is I am tempted by Argon8, WaveState and HydraSynth
Now what?
Dream realized!
Here’s the AFX Station with the Wavestate!
AFX Station in AFX Mode, Wavestate on amen break and choir.
Stutter Edit 2 on glitch effects. Enjoy!
Love when the choir pads come in. Sounds awesome.
- Argon 8 - returned mine, quite boring trad. analog sounds tbh, not very wavetabley
- Wavestate - woeful build quality, sounded thin and nothing special in terms of on board sounds (loads of individual drum hits which are of no real use. It’s complex little rompler
- ASM Hydra - built like a tank, sounds awesomely weird. love it
Well I just solved all these issues 10mn ago.
Got a Blofeld desktop version
Will have to wait for Hydra now.
I keep going back over your Wavestate demos.
I’m definitely getting one after Christmas but your demos have been the decisive factor after my back and forth decision making.
@Leo-iSL The Wavestate is really something! I plan on spending more time with it today, because it is such a deep synth I barely know a thing about it. I haven’t even started adding in Elektron style sequencing yet; the internal sequencer is mad!
Still would be a better instrument if you could add in more samples imho, but there’s something like 6 gbs of samples, and the UI is nice once you get used to it.
Me too @sinkingfeeling. Most of the demo’s I’ve come across are ambient patches. Wave sequencing seems like an IDM composition dream, so was surprised to not see that many demos of it being used that way, and was happy to find all your videos showcasing it.
Due to a bereavement I’m going to come into some money. In effect I could comfortably buy any synth I want, and I would. But over the last 3/4 days I’ve been listening to demos of everything you can imagine. Synths I’ve dreamed about, gassed after for years. Most recently the Waldorf Iridium but somehow it’s the Wavestate that’s still the one I want.
Love’em! most generous of you Sir.
Many thanks.

Has anyone started to get a skipping value encoder? or any other?
Guys maybe a silly question, help me understand if this can be the perfect synth for:
-import any kind of sample
-morph them in a way like NI Absynth does
-sequencer has retrig option
Thanks!
