way way way overpricedâŚ
Gaaaah, I was very interested until I saw the ridiculous price!
my main theory is that USB-C is an after thought⌠they probably went with Micro Usb and then EU came with their USB-C power legislature which forced Korg to implement USB-C for power.
Which would explain why it is only for power and nothing else.
I predict massive depreciation on that RRP. I look forward to picking one up for ÂŁ300 in 24 months time
Come on now, itâs not THAT ugly.

Cheers!
Having just ordered an SP404 mk2 two days ago after debating for ages between than and an MPC, I saw news of this and thought, âoh [expletive deleted]!!â
Now I have heard more about the Korg, I have zero interest in it as itâs no competitor to either of those devices for use as a production tool. And as others have remarked, itâs hella expensive.
I guess this is more squarely aimed at the DJ market and it would make most sense sitting in a DJ booth of a club. As for actually making music in a standalone sampling groovebox way, it doesnât seem very useful at all.
Wow
Respect that he didnât just take the money on this one and called it out.
I imagine he might not be getting many more exclusive deals with Korg in the future.
They should have gone with TRS midi for one and standard midi for the other
Haha yes
I love it
Thought just another payed add âreviewâ.
But this thing really is weird/full of flaws and waaay overpriced.
Wow the moment at 11:50 with the demo song is hilarious
Clearly targeted at the DJ scene with the RCA connectorsâŚ. and priceâŚ
Massive respect and appreciation. Need more of this on YT
As an SP404mk2 user this is great news. Roland is already great at supporting/updating gear. This will just add more motivation for their team.
The latest update for SP was huge. Iâm guessing weâll see another much sooner than later now.
Yeah, I agree this might sharpen the minds of the folks at Roland a little to keep the SP404mk2 on top!
For the love of God, let us record defined length loops!
yes!
Plus add sidechain and a basic looper to the SP404mk2 and Iâll be good I think.
Ugh, I think Korg shot and missed with this one. Why put two channel faders but no EQs or filters per channel (DJ style)? The old Kaoss mixer had EQs per channel (and a cross fader). The Replay could have been a great device for electronic musicians to perform live. Maybe some updates will/can make it a bit more competitive but right now the unit looks pretty limited.
Of course, I just wanted to crack a few jokes
