Initial thougthts:
- Much more to be done with the touch screen. Is it multi-touch I wonder.
- RCA jacks harkens more to performance and DJ side of things. I prefer Line in/outs.
- Cost more than the Maschine+
Loopy Pro with a few instances of Koala Sampler for one shots and Koala FX for XY style effects controlling would provably get the closest.

What a coincidence! I was watching a Radiohead gig yesterday and wondering why Korg hadnāt updated the Kaoss Pad.
It feels like they froze the development 10 or more years ago at the very last stages and decided to release in 2023 with type-c for power.

This looks really nice. Be great if it had compatibility with logue sdk and could use sinevibes etc fx. Even better if you could add the osc options but seems itās just the sampling engine. A combo of portable sampler and logue sdk would be pretty awesome
I had the korg kaos fx pads and used them in DJ sets but found a lot of the fx to be over the top and in your face, also a bit dated so hopefully they have modernised these.
Look forward to checking the demo vids later

It really does remind of the SP404ā¦ the footprint looks similarā¦
The effects though, sound two tiers worse then the SP404, at least from the demos iĀ“ve heard.
I think we probably have EU to thank for the inclusion of USB-C on this machine.

They really could have added a sequencer for that price. Even a basic one like on the SP404 OG. I understand the device is for DJ, but so is the Pioneer DJS-1000 WHICH HAS a sequencer (and more effects).
The USB C power thing is a bit of a mess though, youād expect that thing to be more mobile.

Hope the best for korg. I have a KP3+ and now a SP404mk2 and the effects of the SP are much much better than KP3.
